Well your right some people don't want or care for companionship at all. But later stages in life I believe they would rethink that whole idea if they had to do it all over again. I have a cousin she is 72 as I had this same conversation with her a couple years ago. She is now very sad she never had kids or even a lover or companion. She lives like a nun but wasn't one. Her whole life was working her dogs and that''s it nothing else. So I think people really need companionship in there life or you get lonely after a while.When out driving always turn left. Like the answer to most questions, it depends. There are certainly asexual people out there. Others may have been traumatized and find a sexless life less anxiety provoking. We have certainly read in this forum where people have gone through periods in their lives where their sex drives were nonexistent.
