Yes. Though I'd be happier with it.

And to be even more specefic, I'd be happiest if it was someone I was in a relationship with. Never had a prostitute or a one-night-stand to be honest. Was never interested in that.

If something is messing with your sex drive so you don't really desire it then it's entirely possible to have a happy relationship without sex. Mostly doing it right now. If though you desire sex and aren't getting it the relationship will probably implode at some point.

But what are the odds that both don't care for sex in there marriage relationship. i would say probably highly unlikely. Either it's going to be the wife or hubby. One or the other may stick around for a few years but after that someone is going to go and look for pleasure outside the marriage it's human nature.

If you are asexual, then you are probably happier not having sex than actually having sex. But that is a tiny portion of the population.

To have sex you need a partner. Relationships can be a great source of joy, but they can also cause frustration, restriction and heartache. A single, celibate person can avoid that stuff and enjoy a certain freedom.

Well your right some people don't want or care for companionship at all. But later stages in life I believe they would rethink that whole idea if they had to do it all over again. I have a cousin she is 72 as I had this same conversation with her a couple years ago. She is now very sad she never had kids or even a lover or companion. She lives like a nun but wasn't one. Her whole life was working her dogs and that''s it nothing else. So I think people really need companionship in there life or you get lonely after a while.

Like the answer to most questions, it depends. There are certainly asexual people out there. Others may have been traumatized and find a sexless life less anxiety provoking. We have certainly read in this forum where people have gone through periods in their lives where their sex drives were nonexistent.

Using a broad interpretation of sex as including all forms of intimacy, I know that I could not. As I am in a committed relationship, intimacy is an integral part of expressing love and devotion.
