For the girls out there.....when did you know?
So Jen has me intrigued......I'd love to know when the girls who are bi-sexual knew they were into women as well as men. Was your interest in women evident from an early age? The closest I've experienced being with a girl was when I was nine. My friend Julie came over and one thing led to another and we ended up in my wardrobe kissing....I'd also love to know what your first experience was like.....thanks Jen, you've aroused my curiosity!! -
YES!!!

I had feelings for women (that I didn't really understand) at a fairly young age - puberty I suppose. It was unfortunate because I was indoctrinated like everybody else in heterosexuality, so I thought there was something wrong with me initially until I grew up enough to get beyond that. I would say I didn't really 'become' bi until maybe 17 or so, and then I didn't embrace it (sleep with women) until 19 or 20, but then I was off to the races.
I don't know your age Romy but I'm pretty sure there's no expiration date for bisexuality! If you feel it, just own it.
In all seriousness tho there are a lot of variations. We don't need to get into them now but there's general curiosity, denial, full-on lesbianism, etc. You seem curious, but curiosity can sometimes just be curiosity or it can be a facade for genuine bisexuality, and it's usually embraced by people who are new to it and unsure if they want to really just take one giant step.
Oh and I'd totally date you in a heartbeat!

I realized after I did an assignment at school 2-3 years (in my mid 30's) ago that required me to evaluate my own sexuality (see my blog on the topic). Then I went through this crazy crush on a co-worker, the teenage type where I was acting like a bubbling idiot. The thing was it was not sexual at all. Actually sex with woman doesn't really turn me on. But once I had this crush, I realized that I had had them before in life since I was a teenager, but never recognized them as attractions because it wasn't sexual.
I think most women feel this strong attraction to other woman that is not sexual but society labels it as close girl friendships so most women don't realize they are bi.Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose - Kris Kristofferson and Fred Foster (sung by Janis Joplin)Comment

I'd love to see you try to convert my GF Jen. We've had the discussion where I took the position that "every woman has thought about being with other women at some point," but she keeps insisting that she has not and that it's "ew." I used to think she was just too ashamed to admit it but I am starting to believe her. She doesn't lie either. Still, it's hard to believe."Are you serious? You're bleeping THAT girl?" - jen1447Comment

Oh, you don't want to challenge me on that score. I'm pretty much 100% on it. I would convert her.
Her position's actually totally understandable and not uncommon, but it's still ....how do I put this respectfully (because I very much respect your GF) ....mistaken. You can basically be both things at the same time - she may not be bisexual in practice or conscious feeling at all, outwardly or inwardly, but I'm nonetheless able to tap into something latent inside all women that brings it out. That leads me to very strongly believe that it's there for all women, the only difference being how deeply it's buried under the surface.
I can basically guarantee I would convert your GF to my side.

I should point out just as strongly tho that I wouldn't do that (unless she really wanted me to or it was a real challenge between us all). I don't go around turning women upside down psychologically just for fun. With great power comes great responsibility and all that, and I wouldn't jeopardize what the two of you have.
She might get a kick out of knowing I'd want to tho, so feel free to tell her.
