Motorguy,I agree with you on this, but at the time when it happened it was viewed different when women did things like that.

And you're not complaining, right? And no one is saying you should. But MG and I are both commenting on the different treatment of the sexes in these cases.

One can only imagine the fallout if you had been a girl in a hospital bed, and, on your 15th birthday, a male nurse came along and said "Well, sweetie, you're 15 now. Time to learn about sex and become a woman."

CHANDLERS,Why was I embarrassed?I was embarrassed because I don't want people to see me as a guy wanting to do things like to with older women and think that I might be some kind of sex pervert. At first I did regret letting it happen, but later on I didn't and I was somewhat glad it happened, because I learned that it was something to not feel bad about, plus it helped me knowing what to do when I did end up in a relationship with an older woman down the road later. She was the one who instigated it.I Like I said in my other post it all happened on the day of my birthday there and she thought it was time for me to learn about sex and become a man.

This is going OT but I've always thought that double standard was pretty dishonest. Not just in terms of the equal treatment under the law principal but because I think the underlying assumption that boys can somehow handle it better is false. IMO no 15 year old is psychologically or emotionally prepared for a genuine sexual relationship, and boys probably even less so than girls since they seem to mature more slowly emotionally. The fact that it gets covered up with a lot of bravado is actually sad in a way ....since when did we start putting any stock a 15 year old's reassurance that "everything's under control?" 15 year old's don't have anything under control, least of all the emotional minefield of adult sexuality.

btw, chances are today that any woman who does that to a boy will be gone after very vigorously as well. (Look at all the 'hot teacher' stories in the last 20 years or so.) And bootsie's thing is even worse because it's not just statutory but also I think violates that 'person of authority' clause present in many laws now. His nurse wasn't just some random woman, she was a acting in a professional role over him where he was to some degree in her custody. From my reading of the law, you can't even do that without the age difference - e.g. 21 year old teachers can't sleep with their 18 year old students.

Yeah Jen,Things are much different now when it comes to older women having sex with younger boys than it were back then when I was growing up,which I grewup in a very rual area.

Yes that's right it was for me when I was 15 the young man who was with a older when he was consider a stud and padded on the back for it. Now some older women are going to prison but not the rate that men do and the length of prison times no where near what a man would get.The avg for a man is 8 years per count of sex with a 15 year old girl so 10 counts that's 80 years in prison you can say he will die in prison then.

If older women want to go nuts sleeping with younger men, then that is a burden that we are going to just have to bear

Well true SA but those women who do mess with young men, under 18 are not getting the length of prison times that men with young girls get.

Sorry MG, but I had a huge crush on my 7th grade math teacher. Soooo hot. I also felt like I was the only one that did (kids talk about this stuff y'know). I honestly thought the other boys had absolutely NO TASTE in women... Maybe because their taste were in girls I'd scan the classroom and none of the other boys seemed interested. My eyes were glued to her from day one.

Luckily she was in math, I did not really need to pay attention in math class to get an A so it gave me lots of time to just.... eye-ball her and day dream. She did not finish the semester though, and they brought in a replacement. I wanted to gouge out my eyeballs. My heart was also crushed.

She could have done anything she wanted to me. I would have found a way to "cope with the trauma" I am sure.
