I love mentioning the fact that I have two degrees one in Politics and Law and the other in Psychology and the fact that I also speak 3 languages (English, Portuguese and Spanish and a little Latin but that doesn't really count). Usually I say this to your good ol fashioned catholic male chauvinist, my MIL or other people who think I'm dumb and stupid. They look shocked when I tell them my academic record.

Well done to SA's girlfriend for knowing 4 languages I know two are English and Portuguese but what are the others? Moral is don't question a woman's intelligence or else you're gonna get your bum handed to you.

well I have to confess I had to 'google' it - it's not a word I've ever heard of before.... I think a certain amount of intelligence is necessary, but it's the personality that counts for me... luckily my wife is pretty intelligent, has a fantastic personality and is attractive.
some things are a real turn off to men and women - and for me it is smoking... the other day I saw a woman in the street and thought she was very attractive... until she lit up a cigarette...

I hate smoking as well. Luckily hubby doesn't do that. I would hate the smell and it would feel like I was kissing sand paper. If a guy has bad hygiene and can't take care of himself then that's a major turn off and that is not attractive.

They did seem a little snobbish as if they were intellectually superior to everyone else. You're right philosophers are good at asking questions but can't answer them One of them whose name was Horatio (I do like that name) kept babbling on tangents which were incoherent and even confused him. I did get the impression they were more interested in my looks than my brains so I guess I enchanted them lol.

Boys will always try to prove their intelligence to girls. The more insecure the boy, the more he will need to prove that he is more intelligent than the woman he wants to impress. Stupid boys.

I can always find a line from Shakespeare (or, for that matter, a line uttered by Humphrey Bogart is some movie) that will shut those people up. A beautiful woman philosopher who is smarter than me?:

I remember in college , I've an unattractive but very smart friend used to say that no matter how ugly a person is, as long as she/ he is smart, one somehow would look beautiful if she or he is smart enough. She was saying the professor in the university was looking good as he was so intelligent. Maybe that was why this friend of mine work so hard academically and earned her phd few years back

Well yes kissing a women who smokes like licking the bottom of a ashtray yuck. I am so glad Donna doesn't smoke anymore and has great hygiene like me as well. I could not image be close to a women who smelt really bad that would just make me leave the room and not come back lol.
