^^ I've experienced it both ways. My ex had a girlfriend that was stunningly beautiful. After spending a couple of evenings with her and her boyfriend, I couldn't stand to be around her. Ugly inside can't be hidden by a beautiful exterior.
I went out with a woman in college who I (and most others) would consider very plain looking. But she was such fun to be with and so caring and empathetic that I would often think her very attractive."The only consistent feature of all of your dissatisfying relationships is you." I don't need book smarts. I do need someone with the ability to think well, though. I just cannot stomach stupid women.
I see a lot of people in my line of work. I've seen some correlation between higher education and thinking ability. A lot of it is exposure, though. If the person hasn't seen a book since high school, hasn't been outside a 15 mile radius of their home, and does the same thing day in and day out, their ability to process new ideas will be stunted. A person that reads, travels, and seeks out new ideas and experiences will be as sharp, or sharper than anyone with a degree."Those sowing seed with tears
Will reap with a joyful shout." - Psalm 126Comment

Yes i agree so much with that it's called common sense many people don't have it. I see it everyday in life who don't know basic things that go on in life. The funny thing is that many people off the top of there head do not know who the vice president of the united states is that to me is very sad. The worse part these people vote it's like why. You have no idea who you are voting for they just stubbing through life.I don't need book smarts. I do need someone with the ability to think well, though. I just cannot stomach stupid women.

I will admit I got hooked onto my husband through lust he is IMO a sexy babe but he is even more sexy because of his personality, his witty humor and his intelligence. He is a smart guy as in street smart and common sense but he does read up on politics and current affairs and he loves to quote Oscar Wilde but you're not going to see him discussing Existentialism over a glass of wine.
He once told me it's not what you think, it's how you think. He is a freethinker (I am as well) in that you think for yourself and don't conform to peer pressure or the majority opinion. This is one of many things I love about him. It's all fun and games until you mess with a Portuguese girl.

Yes I guess so I actually did that once at uni with a friend and his friends they were philosophy students. Talking about it's related topics like The Other and The Absurd also about it's philosophers like Soren Kierkegaard (who looks rather cute for a philosopher
), Nietzsche, Dostoevsky and Sartre. It was intellectually stimulating and I learnt a lot they knew way more than me on Existentialism which is a bit confusing for me.
One of them said If was a philosopher I would be the sexiest philosopher alive LOL.It's all fun and games until you mess with a Portuguese girl.

Haha, I kind of figured something like that. There's no one quite as uninformed and vulnerable as a first year philosophy student. I remember having a couple of those discussions with some very intense young guys and innocently flustering them with the "why?" question. No one can actually ever answer "why," and it's kinda funny to get them to try. Throw in the fact that they unwittingly tend to look on you (from their first year ivory tower lol) as a little more than "cute" or "sexy" as opposed to "informed" or "intelligent" and they're putty in your hands.

They did seem a little snobbish as if they were intellectually superior to everyone else. You're right philosophers are good at asking questions but can't answer them One of them whose name was Horatio (I do like that name) kept babbling on tangents which were incoherent and even confused him. I did get the impression they were more interested in my looks than my brains so I guess I enchanted them lol.Haha, I kind of figured something like that. I did study philosophy in sixth form which is kinda our equivalent of senior year in high school except we do two years. It is interesting and deep and it made me a more critical thinker. Also the existentialism stuff did help for my psychology degree which was my 2nd degree. It's all fun and games until you mess with a Portuguese girl.
