I have gone from full bush to fully shaved and everywhere in between before finally settling with a trimmed bush. Shaving was a real hassle; I had to do it regularly or I'd have stubble which both itched me and guys performing oral on me. A few years ago I gave up shaving all together. I have a pretty full bush so I do keep in trimmed so it's not too wild and I shave my bikini line in the summer. I really feel more comfortable with a full bush, like a real grown up woman and not like a little girl. I really think my bush is kinda pretty, like an accent for my vulva and adds interest and mystery. I have to say most guys I'm with really seem to like it and quite a few have made a point of telling my how much they like my bush. -
As I always said different strokes for different folks. My wife has kept her self smooth shaved for many years to long count it's her routine to get the razor out in the shower just like a guy who shaves his face every day. Keep's it smooth it's not done for my benefit but she does it for herself only. When out driving always turn left. Then, should you become lost, you can find your way home by reversing the procedure and always turning right.Comment

I much prefer hairless, with hair on the mons but none on the labia a close second. I just love how slick and smooth it feels when I go down on a woman without hair.
I keep myself hairless via shaving. I started doing it to encourage my wife to do the same. Unfortunately it didn't really work, but I like the way it feels so I've kept it that way.
I absolutely think a lot of the hairless trend is due to porn. Even if you yourself aren't directly influenced by porn a lot of people are and so those who were influenced by porn then influence others. That's the way trends start.
Anyway, there has been some backlash now. We'll see what happens with that. I hope it doesn't go back to 70's bush! LOL.Comment

I can honestly say that my choice to have a perfectly smooth pubic region (laser will give you that) has nothing whatsoever to do with porn. In the past I did let it grow a couple of times and I couldn't stand it. I feel so much cleaner without how but more importantly I love how I feel and look and I promise I've never had any complaints because I don't have hair, quite the opposite in fact. And finally, at no time was my decision ever based on how someone else would view me. This is how I love to look and feel and I did it for me. Having said all this if I had my time back I might (and I repeat might) have left a little hair on top so if in ten years time I wanted hair I had the choice. That being said I still don't get the whole "having no hair" looks like a child. My vagina doesn't look like a child's. The same could be said that having no hair looks like an old woman because you lose your pubic hair or at the very least it thins out to virtually nothing when you're an old lady. Only people with sick minds would associate a 40 year old's vagina with a child's.Comment

Agreed, which is one reason I stopped shaving and grew by bush out. I think my pubic hair is pretty soft and silky, better than stubble. And ingrown hairs were a problem for me. Maybe I'm just to lazy to shave my pubes regularly.
The decision to shave or not is purely personal and there's no "right" answer. It's really great that there's a wide variety of styles for everyone to experience. A lot of it is also just how one was raised and culturally conditioned. I always shave my underarms and legs, but not my bush. Why? It's just what I learned as "normal." I know a lot or women don't shave underarms, legs or bush and that's fine' it's what they are comfortable with while others shave everything which is cool too. (I'm sure there are some women shave their scalps as well!)Comment

WTG, Susan! I wish more women appreciated their bushes. Trimmed is probably best but some women could really pull off the big bush. Labia should be shaved clean but even if its not, I'll go down there : D.Agreed, which is one reason I stopped shaving and grew by bush out. Personally I like to stay smooth, the laser treatment works great. Especially if you keep everything moisturized. I also like my husband and my boyfriend clean. To me there's nothing more annoying that getting that little pubic hair stuck somewhere in your mouth that you can never seemed to get out. Can really be a distraction and a mood killer.Comment
