anon i'm amazed at your ability to build seemingly solid walls out of hollow bricks. you should write for the washington post.

i won't argue with you - i think the discrepancy is still very evident, despite your best efforts to redirect.

but we can continue elsewhere if you're up for the volley.

i'd love to show you what's wrong with your response.

I think this is quite insulting to be honest. I dont think you should judge the situation on how difficult it is. For me and others losing weight and keeping it off is extremely difficult. Just because you cant orgasm does not mean that the man does not turn you on. in my case, my man is extremely attractive and Im already attractive and losing weight will not make me more attractive than i already am.

So I am 20 and weigh about 290 pounds. I had a boyfriend for about three years and though we never tried really hard to give me an orgasm, I can honestly say that I have never had an orgasm. Does being overweight have anything to do with not being able to orgasm? I even have a vibrator I have tried to use and it feels good, but never that peak that I have heard so much about. Does anyone know?? I realize some of you will think 20 is still young, but I just have such a hard time accepting the fact that I have never had one because I had a boyfriend for three years and we were sexually active. Any advice?? Please??

I do feel that body image plays a very large role in how women experience sex. If a woman is not comfortable with her body and herself, then she will not be able to relax enough to fully participate in sex, physically and emotionally. Having a partner that helps you feel comfortable is also important.

When I started dating my current bf, I was 5'0" and ~200 lbs. The thing that helped me is that my bf has been a very good friend for a number of years - we just started dating 6 months ago. At the time, I was not 100% comfortable with my body. I knew that I was unhealthy - being "fat" was not my main concern, my health was.

The first time we had sex, he made he feel completely and utterly comfortable. I was not the least bit self-conscious and I had multiple mindblowing orgasms. We have continued to have amazing sex.

Yes, you can have orgasms being overweight. It is possible. I don't know how your size compares to mine (proportionately), but being on top has always worked the best for me - overweight or not.

Now, to my next point...being on top can be a lot of work! It used to wear me out! And, with a poor body image, may not be the most desirable position for someone that wants to hide. I believe that being physically healthy - not necessarily thin or skinny, but HEALTHY FOR YOU - is important. Endurance can really help in the bedroom .

I am happy to report that I have dropped a good amount of weight in the last 6 months. Am I skinny? Heck no! Will I ever be? Probably not. Am I healthy? YES! I now have incredible stamina in the bedroom for riding on top or whatever else may present itself.

Bottom line - learn to love yourself enough to respect your body and your health...size does not matter as long as you are healthy.

I will agree with you on this...I am far from skinny but I was far too heavy...I was 5' 8" and topped the scale at 250 and that was far too heavy for me and not only not good for my self image but my health...I still go 170 but I wear it pretty darn good...I doubt I will nor want to go real low again...Kind of makes you look older and I really am happy here..BUT my husband in going from 263 to 206 has been the miracle story...Sexually, he is awesome...All the positions and the closeness...What it has done to his confidence is a joke...His penis increased in size as when a man gets too heavy it shrinks...Just the way it is...Now, holy cow....We are both in hog heaven....Just wanted to add that I am not slight by any chance but those pounds off brought on a new me....and I like it...Just be happy with you and that is all that counts...TC, C

Health is health and highly important, you can be thin and un-healthy as well, so look after yourself in this regard always.

But, please excuse me, just for the purpose of understanding weight and nothing more, we have stones and kilo's, so i don't understand pounds, makes it hard to understand consequently comments.

So, ie) 10 stone is how many pounds? It is 64k, and i doubt it is 100lbs..... But, anyone's conversion please, i would appreciate.....

                1 stone = 14 pounds...so 10 stone would be 140 pounds.

                    stones...er, kg to pounds

One kilogram is equal to 2.2 pounds so 290 pounds is almost 132 kg.
