    Is Climax Necessary for Satisfaction?

In the thread https://www.womens-health.com/boards...straight-women we discussed an interesting study that says that heterosexual women have fewer orgasms than other gender and sexual orientations. This raises the question in the title: Does orgasm equate to satisfaction?

I’m a man. The short answer for me is yes. But, the feeling I have about it afterward and what I reflect back on is never about the orgasm. I’ve had highly pleasurable erotic encounters that did not end in orgasm. I’ve also had orgasmic sex that left me unsatisfied. But, in general, I’m not finished until I finish.

My wife is different. I know her well enough to fairly easily make her climax every time. But I’ve probably withheld as many as I’ve given her because she wants it to happen during sex. If it doesn’t, she’s fine going without.

Different levels of satisfaction. Orgasm is the ultimate satisfaction in my book, but I have felt satisfied in a completely different way sometimes when I don't climax.

I have erectile dysfunction which has changed my answer. At one time I would have said it was or at least most of the time it was. Now, it is not so necessary.

I'm more driven by intimacy. At times I want and need the O, but I've found, it's the connection I crave, more than the sexual climax. This has happened as I've gotten older, and maybe when I have a regular sex life again/relationship, I will notice more difference.

I'm all about the intimacy, and making sure my partner is satsified, which for him means orgasm. I can go a long time without it and be satisfied, thing is, when I want that one thing, I gotta have it! lol

For sure it is. Both of the partners have to be satisfied with sex. You can find many advises how to make your relations more bright and hot and etc. For example there is one page in internet you may have a look. You can read some information about fitnes which can improve your sexual life.

I'm a woman. I pretty much reach orgasm during each sex. But I often don't feel satisfaction eventhough I reach orgasm. And there are times I feel really satisfied although I didn't reach orgasm. So the answer for me is no. Climax is not necessary for every satisfaction during sex, but most satisfaction do come from climax.
