felt like I had to pee

Last night I cramped after having sex (after not having it for 2-3 weeks) like I've never cramped before. I've been on bc for 3 years now, no kids, just visited the gyno and was all good there, but cramped like someone was stepping on my bladder. I am thinking he may have pushed something with the tip of his penis, that is what it felt like. It cramped for 20 minutes, I took 400 mg of ibeprofen, and fell asleep afraid to move because on my back seemed like the best position. This is very weird to feel vaginal pain, I have never not felt good after sex. I am wondering if I have a urinary tract infection? Within the past two weeks I've noticed that if I clench my vagina muscles, it feels kind of weird near my tubes/belly button.

I've read all your posts. I hope its not a cyst - I am 22 and pretty healthy. I just moved away from my regular doctor back east to San Diego so I am not sure where I want to go.

    Thanks!

      Internal hemorrhoids?

I came across this thread because I have similar symptoms, and in my case in the past it has been due to internal hemorrhoids (sorta embarrassing but you seem like nice people!) -- meaning it's inside the colon, I suppose you'd say, and a blood vessel gets swollen and/or bursts in a painful, cramping fashion. This can be brought on by certain sex positions (especially if your partner is, ahem, well endowed), and it can happen in the middle of sex, i.e. -- Ow ow, cramp, stop! And then if you are unlucky you will get some blood on the TP the next time you use the bathroom, but not always. This might be to blame! Just an idea.

It got so bad that i almost called an ambulance. The pain was unbareable, i thought i was going to puke. Today im having slight cramps similar to menstral cramps, but last night was the worse pain ive ever experienced in my life. Im really scared of what it might be, but its nice to read that im not alone.

just thought id give an update, the week prior to this happening i was on antibiotics for a UTI, and apparently the antibiotics cause a bacterial infection on my cervix, and the doc. said this is what caused the sharp pains...so ladies get yourselfs checked out you may need antibiotics

          Cramps after or during sex

          Hey ladies,
I am 26 years old and I have been having cramping of the uterus for about 5 years now. I did go to the doctor and she could not find anything wrong with me. I have not been on birthcontrol for about 3 years so I know it isn't that because I am still having the problem. When I went to the doctor she looked for cysts and she didn't find any but she said that the pain I had may have been the cyst ruptering (spelling?). It doesn't happen to me all the time just every so often. I have three sisters and they too have experienced the same problem that we have. Two of them have been diagnosed with having cysts. So I am not sure what causes this horrable pain, but I do suggest you go to the doctor becuase you never know what it may be. The only thing I can find any relief with this is lying in the fetal postion and takind a two exedrin. I have tried to throw up, take a hot bath, go to the bathroom, cry, and nothing seems to help except trying to relax and concentrate on my breathing. Try and take a deep breath in and take the oxygen to the area that is bothering you and it seems to help it relax. Good luck to you all and I hope you find out how to feel better.

Hi, im getting the same symptoms, pain after sex or orgasms, it might not happen straight away, maybe the next day ill get cramps and feel really bloated. Im seeing the gynecologist and ive got to have a larposcopy as she thinks it might be caused by endometriosis as i also get extreme period pain which no painkiller can help. I find laying down and hot water bottles great help.
I have been worried about it for quite a while, I really feel for everyone going through this pain

              bad cramps in uterus

I also experienced very similar to what was described by other posts. During sex I started feeling very unconfortable & tightened in my belly. We stoped. But the pain was just intensifying. I could not find a position to lie down and I could not stand up either. I was crying from pain & was kind of delirious. I sometimes have quite bad menstrual cramps, but this pain was uncomparable. I was short of air, naucious, hot & desperate. I thought of trying to throw up or pee to relieve the tightness, but I could not as everything inside me seemed frozen into the cramp. I wanted to go to hospital, but pain was too strong to move. Eventually, I turned on AC - it helped, slowly pain started desolving. It lasted around 2 hours. I slept for sometime. After I was feeling weak & running temperature of 99.7.
I am in my 20-s, do nt take birth control, did a complete exam this year - everything showed ok, have regular periods, though with cramps. I am in the middle of my cycle now.
Anyone, had an answer why this could happen?
              Good health to everyone!

I to have had this problem, very randomly for almost 2 years. Last night was the worst. I went to see my doctor and she eliminated cysts because of the length of the cramping (20-45min) and where the pain is felt. She said even if it is a cyst there would be no way to see it cause it would be the rupturing of the cyst that would cause the pain and once it's gone there isnt anything to see. She mentioned marking on a calander when it happens and see where it lies within your cycle. Endometriosis could be the cause, but again, it's doesnt quite fit. The last thing she mentioned was the uterus having a muscle cramp. The length of the pain and cramping, where the pain is and the elimination of other things makes me think this is the best bet. Solutions she said would be advil and maybe a hot water bottle on the cramping (when I have them I'm sweat and hot so this could be hard to do). I've had ultrasounds down and they didn't see anything. I want a better answer than what I have gotten (from 3 different doctors) so if anyone knows anything else.

I just read this post and my doctor said that if you have the sensation that you have to pee when this happens its most likely a cyst that has ruptured. Hope you are feeling better!

It was the cyst (most likely ovulatory)

                    Hello everyone,

2 days after my post I was not feeling well, so I did an ultrasound. It showed that I had a cyst that ruptured (its size was big, as I remember 4-5 sm). There was liquid & some blood around the cyst after the rupture. I was told it might be either functional- ovulatory cyst ( not dangerous) or endometrioma (dangerous). To detect if it's endometrioma u need to repeat ultrasound in the begining of the next cycle. If cyst at that time is still there, it might be not good.
I took some antiinflamatory medicine & in 5 days started feeling better.

Next cycle I got pregnant. Did ultrasound for pregnancy & also checked the ovary - there was no more cyst.

                    Good luck to everyone!

This happened to me, the pain was terrible right after to the point that i felt sick. I went to the hospital a few days after because it didnt go away. They tested me for everything possible. It ended up being a cyst that burst and was intrernally bleeding. They said it was common and not too much to worry about.
