I'm not sure if this is part of the problem but, the longer we've been together, the worst the cramps have been getting. It actually hurts on one side sometimes like he's hitting something. so, my question is, has anyone else dealt with this. I mean, is it my age, is it the "banging" for long periods of time, or what? At first it seemed like it was only bad during the time right before my period, but now it seems like all the time? Please let me know if anyone else has had this experience, I would so appreciate it!!!!!

I am 31. My DH and I do not have any children. I also experience pain during intercourse. I recently found out (after a miscarriage) that I have a fibroid on the outside of my uterus. I am not sure if the duration has anything to do with it necessarily. You could always ask your GYN. : )

i have such bad cramps that it feels like labor pains. the only way to get rid of them is heat/ a hot bath. its so bad i am yelping in pain. i had endometrosis and that was from an infection due to an IUD and i have had chronic PID. does anyone have it this bad? if heat didn't help it i would end up in merge or killing myself. its labor all over with no meds.

I have had this problem since October of 2011 until now. They have switched my birth control, they have run many many tests, I have about $2,000 in medical bills sitting on my kitchen table right now and no answers. I was driving home from a friends house and I had to pull over just to cry because I couldn't stand the pain an longer! It is ruining my life. It makes me not want to have sex. Every time I do, I wake up and for 2-4 days I am cramping severely and I am bleeding like I am on my period and sometimes worse. I really wish I could find an answer to this problem before it gets an worse!

            Walking!!!!!

Hi everyone. I am new to this site and I too came looking for answers. This has happened to me on more than a few occasions. I have to agree with previous posters that the pain is almost unbearable and way worse than any cramps or labor pains I have ever experienced! I know this is a really old thread but I wanted. to share something anyway Usually when I start to feel the cramping coming on I lay down, big mistake. Last time I layed down the cramping became even more intense than before and I began hyper-ventalating, sweating like crazy, and my body temp was out-of-control. Well today when the cramping
started coming on I decided to walk it off. The cramping is usually gradual, so for the first minute or so it's still possible for me to move. So, as said I started walking while I searched the web for answers. The cramping ot a little worse (like the first stages of labor) and stayed for about 5 mins or so. Then they went away!! My boyfriend, the sweetheart that he is, would always tell me to walk it off after I was writhing in pain at which point I could not move . well needless to say he was right! This post is for anyone out there trying to find a way to cope with thee pain, try walking before the pain immobilizes you. Of course this will not fix the underlying problem, you should still get checked out.

Hi ladies, I was having this problem too. Twice after sex in the same week, I had terrible sharp cramp & releasing happening in my stomach. After about a half hour of that, I felt extremely nauseated. It wasn't long until my whole body cavity was cramped up and I could barely walk. I had excessive diarrhea, vomited once, and fully fainted (which I had never done before). I wanted to just try to sleep it off, but my boyfriend insisted I go to my doctor. I couldn't walk, so they wheel chaired me into the room and did a full pelvic exam. I was worried that my IUD (Mirena) had shifted and perhaps pierced something. The doctor wasn't long in telling me that I needed to go to the ER immediately. They did ultrasound on my pelivis and intra-vaginally. It was pretty obvious that I'd had a huge ovarian cyst that had ruptured. The problem (and the cause of the cramping) was that it was still bleeding. By the time they started surgery to stop the hemmoraghing, I had already drained more than a liter (20% of my blood!) into my internal cavity. Blood hurts, ladies. It can attack the outside of your internal organs causing cramping and scarring. It's been two days since my surgery, and I'm feeling tired but much better.

Don't hesitate to go to the doctor! Even if it's just a cyst, time can run out faster than you can imagine... good luck to all of you!

I have been having similar cramps to those that some women have described here. I think there are a few different types within this thread though. I get cramps after sex that tend to start right after he pulls out. They increase gradually until I'm in tears. The only thing that relieves them is a hot pad or waiting it out, which usually takes 20 minutes or so. But what I have noticed is that I only get them if we are going very hard and he stops too suddenly. Its not pain in any specific point, I can tell its my entire uterus acting like a menstrual cramp. It reaches into my thighs and lower back as well. I wish I knew how to stop them, but mostly I can prevent them by not letting him pull out after going too hard. That seems to be the number one reason. And another lady said if she isn't fully arroused she will get them. I can see that happening as well, because to me, I feel as though he has bottomed out or something. And if you have had the time to become arroused, everything is more forgiving and expanded. Hope this helps some understand their cramps.

                  Dear Angel,

Did you ever solve this? I had this problem twice and have since developed quite serious IBS-D over the past few years. Please please let me know what you found out... if anything. thanks!
