And Caroline, we're talking about which elements create and/or fuel sexual attraction, not examples of it.

What fueled it was the hot man, real macho...wrist watch worn upside down, not afraid to daring touch my leg, eyes that held mine, dressed great, bold, terribly manly, complimented me and could see the heat rising in me...He was a former football player, good looking and smooth as silk....One hot lover but glowing with self confidence...and that was one hot sexual attraction....Other than my husband, this has NEVER been repeated....

Yeah girl you know what else defines sexual attraction for me? I love on a clean-shaven man, that little shadow of a mustache on his upper lip. You can just barely see it but you know it's there. Drives me insane.

I think sexual attraction is a combination of many factors. I think it starts with experiences in our younger years, growing up, adolescence. We form some of our preferences then, even if they may change at times later....
Then our own appearance effects what we do....
As Anon said, I think we usually adapt and will be attracted to people that will find us attractive. (Although I have known people who could not seem to adapt...and always wanted someone much more attractive then they were and they stayed ALONE.)
Then there are factors like that of being at what place and at one time,- timing.

I didn't catch the start of this interesting post, and things seem to be getting pretty heated but I just thought I'd let you know about my experiences of sexual attraction: For me it's a man's natural charisma and a sense of humour above all. A man can have the fittest, sexiest-looking body and offer me the world but more often than not I would choose the geeky looking guy who is better with words, mentally stimulating, and makes me laugh. That's what usually leads to sexual attraction for me. If I've completely got the wrong end of the stick I do apologise.

Just to be clear I'm certainly not claiming that any of the things mentioned here are not all part of sexual attraction. I'm just stating that I don't think it can be narrowed down to any certain thing. I believe there are multiple things, seen and unseen that take a part in it. I have even become to believe that the idea of pheromones taking part of attraction exists.

In my previous post I mentioned a persons character being the final standard at which we may "size up" a potential mate. Anon's reply was that we were discussing sexual attraction not choosing a life partner. Agreed, but I still think it plays a part .... for me anyway.

Example being many years ago there was this man that I worked with. He was a very fine looking gentleman. All the women would just stop what they were doing and watch him when he entered the room - I admit I did to. One day he sat next to a group of us in the cafeteria and as I sat and listened to his conversation and watched his mannerisms I was totally turned off. From that day forward he never caught my attention again.

When I was pregnant for the first time I had the most wonderful OB-GYN with the hottest sexual attraction that I have ever seen.....I have friends that I graduated with who got pregnant again just to see him and be as intimate with him as they could be....He was hot....God help me he was hot....He may have been on my mind with my second pregnancy, as the little guy was born 19 month after our daughter...To make him proud of me I only gained 30 pounds during that pregnancy and came out hot...I mean 145 pounds hot and maybe just for his compliments...He had married and divorced...This time a nurse got him....His sexual attraction was both nice looks and his way of looking at a woman....So sexual and lord how I smile as I write this....Delivered all three of mine.....When he retired and moved to another place in our State, the nurses in the hospital at his retirement party told him that they were all going to rent a large bus and drive up to see him once a year for their pelvic exam......I think I would have joined them.....Now that is sexual attraction....

My husband has tremendous sexual attraction...Even at this late age in life he flirts...Doesn't mean it, but it is there...I watched him in the hospital with the nurses and even though he was looped to the gills, he was hot... You see there is a reason why I am what I am at this age.....I am married to a man that makes me feel so young and thrills me as much as the day that I met him.....

Maybe it is that same sexual attraction that makes me end this as he calls me...He wants me to lie down with him....His hip replacement was just a week ago but still he needs me....If he only knew how much I needed him....Take care, Caroline
