re: closed peg's
im dissapointed that we cannot have a good thread last on pegging.........its sad that there has been some slagging, and that the amount interest on the two post's have not generated an informative, interesting, humorus and fullfilling topic. let this be the start of a good one ok ladies............... -
After a few PMs on the subject - there are a couple of very serious issues.
No one wants a forum where people are hostile and calling people names. Thus all the negative "your guy is a homo" type stuff make this thread un-readable.
The second issue are the pervs who want to post porn like stories about their experiences. When the forum degrades to that many members (myself included) opt out and search for less gross areas to spend our internet time.
"if" there was a way to talk about it without it getting to those extremes I would be all for it but I agree with the moderators that its not worth loosing members or turning this "Health" forum into a XXX site.

Between all of us, the mods should be reading every post. However, we aren't reading each and every one AS they come up; by the time we get there often the conversations are out of control and nothing can be done but close the topic.
The pegging topic could use a rest ... basically it has been going ... and going ... and going ... like the Energizer bunny. But it's the same conversation over and over and over and ... you get the picture.
It may not seem that way to the new members, but to the older members it's a little like "Pegging .... again??? I thought we resolved that thread ... a year ago."<center><i>Nature gives us shapeless shapes,<br>Clouds and waves and flame,<br>But human expectation is that love remains the same,<br>And when it doesn’t, we point our fingers and blame.</i><br><a href="http://www.womens-health.com/boards/register.php">Register</a>|<a href="http://www.womens-health.com/boards/members/little.html">Contact Admin</a>|<a href="mailto:support*womens-health.com?subject=Forum Contact">Email Admin</a></center>Comment

I'm somewhat confused by this. As far as I know the pegging topic was confined to one thread which, admittedly just rambled on. However, there are any number of threads on BJs pornography, masturbation, etc, etc that cover the same ground endlessly but in many different threads. Also, far from being resolved there remain two camps - those who are broadly in favour and those that are violently opposed to it.The pegging topic could use a rest ... basically it has been going ... and going ... and going ... like the Energizer bunny. I would be very happy to engage in a well argued debate on the subject and hope that one thread will be permitted for that purpose. As the person who was the subject of the personal attack which precipitated the trouble in the previous thread I would like to point out that I deliberately did not rise to that argumentum ad hominem in order that the thread would not deteriorate into a slanging match. Unfortunately, others took the bait and precipitated the closure of the tread - the effect I suspect my detractor wished to bring about.
Please let the reasoned debate begin.Comment

Yea but those are less controversial topics. And while stories are shared, they're not nearly as explicit at other threads. Even the name of tv creator of this thread discounts his credability because for one it's apparent he has tunnel vision as far as his intentions with this site, and may have misconstrued it for a Xxx site when it's indeed a health forum.(with all due respect, of course) I myself among others came to this site on inquiry of the pegging thread, but agree after a lot of its content it's probably best closed. You can still view the mass amount of replies, and should be able to get a little insight there
Anyway.Comment

Yes, lets just say that even those of us who engage in Pegging know its not the same as oral sex to the typical person on the street. And I admit as a couple we might be the "weirdos" because for us its not about gender bending or playing at being homosexual.
The best thing to say is that we have agreed to disagree and perhaps sometime in the future we can try to talk about it again. Personally I would enjoy seeing more threads on sexual dysfunction. I know a lot of people have problems and don't seek help. It seems to me that this is a perfect place to talk about that."Don't compromise yourself. You are all you've got." ~ Janis JoplinComment

I'm fine with that. I would like people to examine their reasons for not considering it in the same vein as oral sex (which was historically considered so taboo, at least in western culture). I don't for one moment think you are unusual because you don't see pegging as distinct from gender-bending or homosexuality - quite the reverse. I believe that most people who practice it treat it as part of a normal heterosexual loving relationship. As you suggest it does have an obvious place where there is sexual dysfunction and for this reason alone I think it is good that the stigma associated with it should be lifted.Yes, lets just say that even those of us who engage in Pegging know its not the same as oral sex to the typical person on the street. Sorry - in the above it should read ...because you do see...Comment

Actually I'm very happy to switch this from females "pegging" men to men using strapons because of ED/Impotence.
In regards to it being a tool to use for Male Sexual Dysfunction he is the one wearing the strap on and the question of it being Gender bending or "gay" is less often brought up. And using a dildo that is more "human" looking doesn't make it so weird. Or so I think.
For a man who has medical issues and had serious difficulty getting an erection even with medical aids this can be a real plus. There is a paper on this talking about it helping both the male and female in the relationship. For the male the "loss" of his maleness is fixed (At least in part) For the female who equates sex with intercourse and is able to have it again in this form its a plus. The oddness of course is that couples may be a bit freaked out about buying the proper equipment as its not exactly an item that your Doctor might suggest. The purpose of the paper was to suggest that in a case like this a Doctor should offer it as a valid solution *To which we both agree! Taking this out of the "sex toy" store and making it mainstream seems positive.
In regards to your comment about Oral sex being taboo not long ago. Yes, very true. My parents were from the era where the only people who gave BJs were hookers or "****s."
Frankly I'm very happy that these days are behind me because while I could live without having to DO BJs I would be a very unhappy camper if I never got any oral sex. ;-)"Don't compromise yourself. You are all you've got." ~ Janis JoplinComment
