There's lots of friendly Ex's but this wasn't a BF/GF relationship. It was an affair, he's still married and whether he pushes for it or not he'll still want some 'benefits' and if you're having a weak moment you may suggest it and boom, right back in it. Plus as I said before, the longer y'all are in contact, the more chance of his wife figuring/finding out. It's just not a good situation. -
Jen, let me extend that to: The attention, excitement, romance AND sex are really really good. And, if they remain friends, the benefits will be extended for quite some time.
I wish the best for both women, but there is one simple truth: when these married men became unhappy in their marriages, the solution they picked was to fill the hole in their life in the arms of another woman. Not encouraging for a future relationship. Just sayin'."The only consistent feature of all of your dissatisfying relationships is you." Despair.com "Dysfunction"Comment

Millner, I am not sure if you are happy with that but I am wishing you all the best. Perhaps he has a conscious, who knows.
Effy wrote, consequently she was speaking her mind, wishing you well as well as his wife so I see nothing wrong with how she wrote, what she wrote.I wish the best for both women

It can be done, but it does not work out in the vast majority of cases.
As for an affair becoming a relationship with a person who is already married, the only way I know for such a situation to last is for all three to be in an agreed upon framework.I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
From a speech by Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775 at St. John's Church, Richmond, VirginiaComment

without getting too specific there is a group extended from our work that we are both involved in. I am new to this group so he has helped me a lot with understanding and we have supported each other on various issues within this group. we chat every once in awhile via text or online but it hasn't been daily. I think that's what his concern was was not that I would be a sounding board for him but more so of casual conversation and being a working team. just guessing though. I know we like each other but, we keep our distance fairly well. we haven't snuck around locally in our hometowns just those 2 incidences out of town and then the casual conversations like I've stated.Comment
