Yes, infatuation is the initial feeling you get when you're around someone you're attracted to physically and emotionally. You want to be around them all the time, you think about them, wonder what they're doing, etc. It's a great feeling. But what I've found is that love feels much different. It's a feeling of security and knowing that you don't have to try to impress them all the time, that they love you anyway. I love my boyfriend even when I hate him some days.Comment

being parents have made us better people
I love him more since we became parents because of seeing that new side of him that didn't exist before
one bad thing though is I accidently called him Daddy the other day and our kid said
"he's not your Daddy!"
am too used to saying "your Daddy" to our kidComment

I wonder if the reason is deeper than just a slip of the tongue.
The first time I was intimate with a woman I called her "Ma" by mistake. That had never happened to me before. The next time it happened was one of the first times I was intimate with my wife. I'm not real big into Freud or psychology in general and I try not to overthink things, but there's definitely some deep connection between romantic and parental love."Those sowing seed with tears
Will reap with a joyful shout." - Psalm 126Comment
