I am so sorry to hear that. I hope you are feeling okay. I have not seen any research on a coil being left in. Maybe Kym4 has some insight.

frightened even more now
I had a HORRIBLE experience with my first placement. Dr could only get one side done. I changed doctors and had the other side completed and now I have 2 months before my HSG. I am super frightened now about this moving issue. this is the first I have heard of any of it and I thought I did my research on the product before I did it. I know there are pros and cons, and of course the Dr made it sound so simple and easy...I do wish I never did this. I wish I would have just stuck with the old fashion tubal!! Some of the things that I have been feeling I never chalked it up to the device.. just other things going on. So, yikes!Comment

hello everyone, my problem is a little different or the same it depends, well first off I've had the procedure done, June of this year, and all ready I have had a D&C done due to me having heavy bleeding after the essure procedure I believe. not only that, now I'm having nausea, vomitting, and having cramping. I also went on the website to see the side effect of this procedure and it states that if you have allergies to nickel you should not get the procedure done. Well I have allergies to nickel. When I called the nurse at the doctors office. The nurse stated to me why didnt I tell the doctor that I you had allergies to nickel. I think to myself who tells the doctor o doc I cant wear fake Jewelry. It never came to my mind. But why didnt they put it in the paper work or have some kind of questionaire, I have been feeling so sick could I be preganant. when my doctor did the procedure he told me that. I had a blood clot on my left side. I also have allergies to dye. So when I went for my closer appointment. he told me that I was closed up& after i went to my appointment to see my pictures I can see that one side is compeletly closed off and the left side I don't believe that it is I still can see some silver or nickel inside the core. What's going on with my body I still have milk leaking from my brest aswell I stoped brestfeeding in april of this year. My body is telling me I'm preganant.

Essure free and finally feeling great!!!
I had the essure coils removed in early September and the day after my hubby told me that I already looked better. When they removed the coils they also removed my tubes and did a hysterectomy (I have a family history of lots of problems which I was beginning to have before essure). The biopsy came back and it showed that there was an allergic reaction going on and the lining of my uterus was swollen. Other than recovering from the procedure I feel great, much better than I have for the last year. I wish all of you the best and don't let the doctors dismiss you, keep on them until they take care of the problem! It took me about 7 months to convince mine that Essure was the problem.
Best of luck to everyone!Comment

Giride, If you are allergic to the nickel in the metal coils then you will probably need to have them removed. If your doctor will not listen to you then change doctors. Do not let them push you around. For your information I also did not know that when they asked if you are allergic to anything they might have meant cheap jewelry. I think there are many of us that didn't know that. I also have read some cases of women developing the allergic reaction only after having essure metal coils placed in their body. I think there should be mandatory testing for the allergy if a woman is going to have essure.Comment

mrubesh, Glad to hear you are better. It is so frustrating that some of the doctors just will not listen. I think that was the worst part of the whole thing to me was that I was treated as if I was just a crazy hormonal woman. I strongly urge any woman who has had essure and is having any sort of problems that did not begin till after essure metal coil placement that they find someone who will listen.Comment

Kym4, thank you so much for listening to me. I will see what the doctor has to tell me on thursday of this week, I hope he don't dis miss me. I Like him but he is not the one who I wanted to deliver my baby. or even the one to do the precedure, I wanted someone else to deliver her. But he was the man in charge in the office. I hope he don't just blow me off. I am also still leaking milk and feeling very sick to my stomach, I went to the hospital last week and they made me pee in a cup and came back to tell me that I was not preganant and can't be because of the essure. I asked them to take a blood test anyway they told me no. can they refuss me, I don't believe they can. I'm study medical billing and information within an office setting. But side note I'm so tired of this.I hope I'am preganant and that I can have it. I need them removel this mess and I need them to keep my body the way it was before the essure.I don't want them to take nothing out far as my vaginal thinggy lol

Essure Failure
Hi Everyone,
It is amazing how many women are having trouble with the Essure. I have a few friends that are also going through the same things that are written about here. There is a a couple of great surgeons that are now reversing the Essure without a hysterectomy. The surgeons are at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center (if you do a quick Google search they will come up). Look for Dr. Berger and Dr. Moneith. I have read a ton of great information on the website and it is well worth it. I just had a friend have a Essure Reversal and she is doing so much better.
I hope this helps!Comment

Hi I also had the essure procedure done in 2004. I had no idea most of my problems were being caused by this. I now have a nickel allergy, lower back pain, abdomen pain and swelling. I went to my family doc to find someone to take them out. I do not have insurance to cover this and was wondering if anyone knew if there is a way to sue the company for my medical bills? I would appreciate any help with this. I have already emailed the company to see if they have any info to help me pay for the removal, and not surprisingly they never contacted me. Thanks for any help!!Comment
