New to site, which is a great forum to discuss women's issues. After some research on the Essure method and tubal ligation, Essure was the method I went with???

I am almost a week (3/18/13) out from my out-patient procedure - Essure for sterilization(kids 17 & 14) and an endometrial ablation (heated ballon method).

Many of the problems most women are experiencing with Essure, I've been dealing with extensively for years - extended and inconsistent menstrual cycles and passing large blood clots resulting in anemia; random sharp, stabbing pains in my stomach and pelvic area; lower extremity pain and general fatigue. Because of this forum, I plan to monitor very closely any complications or ill-effects not previously experienced or worsened as a result of Essure.

Updates to follow, but prayerfully only positive ones!!

I had the Essure procedure done Sep of 2008 and was told I was 100% blocked December 2008. Well fast forward 15 March 2013. I had not had my period since January. Nothing new I have a thyroid problem that always throws off my mental cycle except this time I'm having symptoms that had me seriously questioning what was wrong. So I found myself that morning at the store feeling so silly for buying a double pack pregnancy test. I take the test then
Bam it is popositive then the other I took because I was in shock. I then searched for a doctor and I was seen within a few days. Confirmation via ultrasound that I was indeed pregnant 6weeks along. There is a large bleed next to the baby. I have to take it easy and thus far I have no choice I have all day nausea and fatigue. I will be seen every two weeks until the doctor thinks it is safe. My doctor was shocked as well as his staff but not as much as me!

I just had my second HSG done today, 10 months after placement of essure. BOTH tubes are still open! Pregnancy is not an option for me, because of medications I take. My husband is going to have to have a vasectomy!

            Edit to reply

Ok many women have contacted you since you posted that you would like to help but unfortunately you have not contacted women back. We would like to know just what kind of help you are offering? We would like to know if this is just an information gathering tactic or if Conceptus you really are willing to help. So many women are having problems with this procedure.

Kym, I have edited the phone number but not banned the person.

I shall leave the answer to be had however this was in March..............we are in April.

A dispute or disagreement of thoughts usually suggests more posts from a poster... In this instance, obviously not.

It's October 23 2013 I Just Got The Essure Done And I Couldn't Be Happier. There Was No Complications And I Was Able To Go About My Normal Activities With My 3 Daughters. I Have No Cramping No Bleeding. I Really Liked The Fact I Got To Watch The Whole Procedure On The TV It Was All Smooth Sailings. I Know Everybody Is Different And It Seems LikeA Lot Of The Essure Problems We're Back A Few Years Ago. I Go To Kaiser In California And They Have Had No Problems With Essure So Im Sure When The 3 Months Come Around And I Have To Have The HSG Done I Know It Will Be Great. Im Very Pleased With The Essure And I Love My Dr. =)
