I am miserabe! I havent had the ongoing bleeding but I do have a very heavy period every two weeks. I cramp almost every day and the closer it gets to my period the worse and more intense the cramps are. I have cramped so bad that I double over in pain and break out in sweats with chills. Sex, makes me cramp as well...The essure has been awful... I really wish that the company would have to pay to have them removed, seems to me like the bad out weighs the good by far.

I went in today to get my Essure procedure done and total failure. Not doctor's fault though. I had a polyp blocking one fallopian tube and the other tube was crooked and the doc could not find the opening. At that point, my uterus started to have these horrible painful spasms. One thing for sure...essure is not without pain. I'm 47 yrs old with 2 children (21 and 17) so I'm so done with having kids. Next step is tubal ligation in 2 weeks.Comment

Please Help
Hi I had my essure done November 2010 and then had the dye test to make sure it was blocked. Now I am naseous, tired all the time and moody. I thought I may be pregnant but I took a test and it was negative but my body is screaming pregnant. Is it possible I could still be pregnant. Should I get a better test. I am terrified of a tubal pregnancyComment

lydikate, I can help you but I cannot send you private messages. I don't know how to pass this info other than to tell you to check your messages on Aphrodites forums or go to facebook page called Essure Problems. I'm sorry but we are limited to the info or links we can post on the forums. I haven't been on here in so long that I'm not sure I remember what is allowed & what isn't. Guess I should read the rules again.Comment

What to do?
I had Essure done in Jan. 2012. I started having sever cramping the day of the HSG test. I was hospitalized for 4 days for a Diverticulitis. Seemingly unrelated but quite a strange coincidence. My cramping continues every 2 weeks and is at the same time as ovulation and my cycle. My bellie bloats up so much that I feel like it is going to blow up. "Extreme PMS" Now I am even missing work and social events due to this problem. My periods used to be a short 3-4 day light flow cycle. Now it is 7-10 days, very heavy, lots of clots and really red in color. Everything is so compact in our bellies, so the cause of my problem is hard to find. I just had a Colonoscopy and everything is fine. My Dr. thinks I am crazy and making up stuff since they can't find a problem. He told me it is just IBS and that I need to eat a better diet. "I normally do!" Now I am going for my annual GYN exam with a new Dr. who also does Essure. I think I want them out!!!Comment

I had the same thing happen to me!
I had a similar experience in that after 3 months, the dye still did not show a blockage of the tube on one side. I had to go back 3 months later and have the test done again. At that time, the blockage was confirmed on both sides.
To back up, I scheduled the Essure procedure for March of 2007. I was told I needed to have a shot of Depo Provera at the onset of my period the month before to help thin the lining of my uterus. I got the depo shot in February. I spotted daily from it, along with the monthly period. When in June my test did not show a blockage, my doctor had me get another depo shot. I wasn't wild about the idea, but I did it anyhow. This was in June. Spotted daily until November of 2007. Then, started getting my period about every 14-20 days and it's super heavy. This has been ongoing.
I mentioned this at my annual exam and doc ordered blood tests (came back normal) and an ultrasound which the tech (a) saw the essure coils in my tubes and (b) saw numerous tiny cysts on my ovaries. He took an endometrial biopsy and the results were due today. This was 5 days ago. Yesterday, my body expelled one of the supposedly scarred in Essure coils, after 18 months!!!
I left him a message this am about the coil, and the nurse called a while ago with my biopsy results (normal). So I asked the nurse **again** for the doc to call me, as I haven't found a thing on google about women expelling the coils after so long. I'm hoping I'm not pregnant (I don't know if they were in the right place when the ultrasound tech saw them) and I got no idea from the nurse what a normal biopsy means, since I don't know what he was hoping to find/not find on the biopsy anyhow. It would be nice if he would call me back to tell me what the heck is going on.
I never had cysts before all of this, and my cycle was 28 days like clockwork. I can't help but think that my problems all go back to Essure. I still have the one coil in there somewhere, but I'm thinking tubal ligation the old fashioned way along with a side of novasure to take care of the period issue.
Argh! It's frustrating to me because I'm a little freaked out by this coil showing up on my toilet paper. Even the nurse this morning was like, "it came OUT?! Are you sure that's what it is???" You'd think after 2 messages my doctor would be calling me to find out what the heck is going on.
Anyone else have an experience like this with Essure?
I had it done 3 months ago and start having very bad stomach pain. I went to the e.r and the did a ultrasound to see what was going on....Well one of my coils had fallen out completely & the other one is digging into my uterus causing pain & discomfort!! I'm now in the hospital as we speak about to have surgery...& to get the tubal ligation! I'm ****ed because I hate the fact that I now have to get cut!! I was told the essure was the best thing to do but really ended up being a nightmare from hell! Sorry you had to go threw that...but my opinion I wouldn't recommend the ESSURE!!Comment

My period is about 5 days late with 3 negative pregnancy tests, so I'm not pregnant. I noticed a lot of posts on here saying that your periods became irregular after your TL. I am hoping that my results from my new eating habits are not merely a part of the irregular periods I seem to starting to face.
my pain and symptoms were just like the ones listed, and I am praying that this long term diet might be a successful alternative to getting the procedure reversed. Or at least a way to provide some relief until we can afford it.
So far it has been wonderful results, but I still haven't had a period since I started the diet 33 days ago in the beginning of my last period. I am so happy for all the women who had the reversal, and I will keep you all posted on my results from this book after my period.
A couple questions: has anyone experienced the side affects, then felt relief only to have them come back? Do you feel the side affects when you are closer to your period, or are they about the same all month?(mood swings, depression, anxiety)... Thank you so much for all the information and for helping me figure out the true cause for this craziness.Comment

Sorry... It looks like the first part of my post was left out. I basically have experienced what a lot of you have been posting. I had adiana ( like essure) done about 4 months ago. After reading your posts, I see now that it was def my procedure. Before this my Pms was never even close to this. My side affects were severe heavy depression, headaches, irritability, mood swings, and excruciating pain where my pelvic area is. I started following the advice and cookbook of 30 days to no more Pms about 33 days ago. My symptoms have improved about 80%. I haven't gone through another period yet though... The rest is in the post right before this one
