• Hairless men!

Is it just me or are men starting to look more and more like plastic toys?
Okay! I'm exaggerating a little, but I prefer men with hair. I don't know why it's so popular lately, for men to want
to be smooth like babies. Please share your opinions with me and men explain your view on this new trend.
Thank you in advance.

• I put my foot in my mouth recently with a cousin I'm very close to. I was making fun of men who shave. In our subculture growing up, that wasn't done. It was considered prissy. We're the same age, so I thought I could get away with it.

The problem is that he's also my barber. Being a barber, he's a bit more conscious of style and grooming than the average man. He also told me that he's like a carpet from neck to ankle and that if he didn't shave it would be unpleasant to him and any woman with whom he was intimate. Needless to say, I felt like an idiot.

• Are you meaning facial hair or body hair or....???
Because the men in my area are hairier than ever. They all look like Grizzly Adams, if you know who that was.
It started with the younger kids but now it's as bad with my aged men. Hipster, whatever that means.

Yes, I know what you mean by G Adams.
I was talking of body hair. I'm in Canada and the craze is no body hair at all! (Without saying they all have done it.)
Publicities with men for perfums etc. are all with this image. Even my son told me recently he's thinking of doing it?

I agree with your barber about excess. I mean women have been doing it a long time.
What intrigues me is the total removal trend for style not for personal comfort.

• Well...I guess we're slaves to fashion. I certainly can be.

• Theres a really strong hair aversion going on lately. Hipsters are in fashion so having well groomed facial hair is deemed attractive but apart from that i think hairy bodies are frowned upon. Personally i like my men hairy. I also am pretty relaxed about my own body hair. I mean i shave my legs and underarms but only when i feel like it. I dont care if i have a bit of "stubble". I trim my pubes but i flat out refuse to shave or wax downstairs. I find complete baldness on males and females to be weird. Like the obession with youth has led our culture to idolise this image of looking like children, hairless. Personally i think thats messed up. Im an adult, i went through puberty, i have hair.

• I like facial hair. And I don't mind a man with body hair, but there's a limit for me...I've become a little grossed out by overgrowth of hair in certain areas. I really love the idea of grabbing hold of a man's back and shoulders, but getting a handful of hair sort of kills the idea for me.
But...If I ever have that opportunity, I may like it. Who knows?

• I prefer hair on women, so I would expect they would prefer hair on me. This sounds like it is being driven by trends in porn.

• Porn definitely is driving the completely hairless trend for pubs, but overall, men are more less now compared to the 80s where hairy was sexy. I think it's that metro sexual look that drives the hairlessness. At the same time, I am noticing the trend for facial hair and hair buns, but mostly for the 20 something year olds. I wonder if men with hair buns also shave their bodies???

I have to say, when I see a model, I prefer smooth and shaven. But when being with somebody, I prefer them just the way they are, hair or no hair.

It's been 3 weeks since a person that I thought really cared and loved me "ghosted" me.
