Also, I'm not sure if I've ever asked any of you ladies this, but have any of you tried those books that claim to cure BV in 3 or so days? When searching for things on the internet, many come up, so I'm kind of curious. I assume it'll mention things like apple cider vinegar, yogurt, or hydrogen peroxide, but I'm starting to consider purchasing one for the heck of it. -
Amelillo, I've read from women who have purchased those that they're a crock and a waste of time.....don't know personally, though.
Something did come to mind: at your last visit you said the white blood cells were gone and there were lots of clue cells to be seen, correct? I do find it interesting that your vitamin D level raised (albeit very slightly), and there was that kind of a change. Kind of makes me wonder if there's any possibility whatsoever that the two are related...Comment

Yeah, I mean, they might be, but honestly, I don't see how there weren't any WBCs my last visit. My discharge is still soooooo bad. I don't feel like I've improved at all. I think I'm going to schedule another appointment in a month or two and have the doc recheck the wet mount. It may have been a fluke thing or he wasn't looking for it. I don't want to continue with the Clindamycin if it's truly not working, and it does not feel like it is, but I guess it still could be?Comment

That's what I don't understand about my condition; my wet mounts and cultures always show that I have a basically perfect vagina. They never show clue cells, they never show white blood cells, they never show yeast or bacteria, and my pH is always normal!!! It doesn't make any sense. There was only one time that white blood cells appeared on my wet mount and I happened to get a yeast infection the following day so I'm sure that was the only reason they were there.
None of this is adding up. I think I'm screwed.Comment

Amelillo I started a thread on here to ask if anyone had read the 3 day cure e book that's all over the internet but I didn't get any replies, I never ordered one because I imagined it would have the typical apple cider vinegar, hydrogen peroxide etc in it and also because I'm in the UK and alot of things available in the US aren't available over here so I imagined it might contain stuff I couldn't get hold of. I don't know anyone personally who has tried it unfortunately.Comment

Hey Sarah, someone here actually emailed me the book about the 3 day cure, and you're right, it just says the usual. Suggests douching with hydrogen peroxide, inserting acidophilus, and taking folic acid. Then it also talks about watching your diet, cutting out processed foods and sugar and doing cleanses to rid your body of toxins.Comment

Sorry if this has been brought up, but I don't recall us ever discussing it and it's been brought to my attention recently: has anyone here been checked for PCOS (ovarian cysts)? I guess heavy infectious-like discharge can be a pretty common symptom, as well as pain during sex and a whole other list of random symptoms. Since I went off birth control last December, I've only had my period twice and someone was telling me I should get checked for PCOS. At first I thought, "Nah, I don't have any other symptoms" but I did some research and apparently my discharge is the exact match of the discharge women get when they have ovarian cysts. Just wondering if anyone else has looked into this; I think I'm going to ask my doc at my appointment next week, just because at this point I feel it's about the only option left...Comment

I had an ovarian cyst last year, some fluid in my pelvis was spotted during a lumbar MRI so I was sent for a scan and told I had a 4cm cyst on my right ovary. Six months later they checked to see what it had done and it had burst and gone and no other cysts were found. That's the second one I've had (that I know of) and they only give me pain over the actual ovary, sometimes severe, and mess up my cycle so it's totally all over the place so I'm sure PCOS isn't part of my problem. I was cyst free when my symptoms began because I'd just been checked.Comment

You were checked for PID? yellow discharge can be PID and BV can cause PID not just an STD. Honestly if your not showing any discharge its not going to be a bacteria or infection and I would rule that out and it could be your normal period discharge, but if you have pain of some sort get a transvaginal and ultrasound. Start taking probiotics and DMannose to prevent future UTI's, and control some of this problem so i hear it helps I plan on trying it after whatever it is I'm having right now... soon to find out at gyno.Last edited by butterflylady; 10-04-2010, 10:22 AM.Comment

By the way get off the medications honestly, that could be where the irritation is coming from and its just irritating the sensitive areas with the repeat usage and that itself could be all it is you may of had something and now just irritating it with more meds. You may be having a reaction to some sort of soap, underwear, detergent your using as well, and your sexual active- think maybe condoms or something with sex could be the problem.Last edited by butterflylady; 10-04-2010, 10:28 AM.Comment
