Well, it's been almost a month since my last flare up. I took my usual Metronidazole pills, but with Diflucan. Normally, once hubby and I have any sort of sexual contact, it's back within a day or so. (P.S....that has been a huge strain on our sex life) But, we have been intimate constantly since I took the double dose and.....NADA! I think that it may have actually worked. I will keep everyone updated. -
sorry to break into your pain but I don't know to post a message
A young woman that I know and care greatly for had a baby last October 12th. Beautiful healthy boy. In January she had an IUD implanted. About the middle of march she began having back pains and they became more particular and concentrated. She is on Medicade. She sought help with back specialists. None of these geniuses took any blood or urine samples. The treated her less than honorable. Nothing could touch the pain. Finally she went into emergency room to try and get and MRI; something. They did not see anything and let her go. Rather than going home, Red in desperation took her back to hospital where John Tyler was born. She collapsed going in and spent the next 10 days on life support. It took her three days to learn her name again once she opened her eyes and she has no memory of what happened. Only nightmares.
Cut to the chase . . .so now she is alive, knows herself, but the blood pressure medicine that they used inhibited blood flow to her extremities and now she is suffering from 'frost bite' like damage to her fingers and toes and amputation is not ruled out yet. Everyday she fights inside a chamber that injects oxygen in you blood. Hyperbolic??? Two hours a day. And she tries to work her fingers.
Last Sunday was the first time that she had seen her baby and it was too emotional. She saw him again yesterday and she thinks that he recognizes her voice. I am sure that he does. She may lose a finger or toe but I still love her and she has a lot of fight.
This woman has an incredible mind. As poor as the health plan is that just passed, she understands the history of it. She dropped the day the plan passed.
My question is what the happened.? Rejection? Incompetence?Comment

I suffered from chronic BV for TEN YEARS. For many of those years I had no health insurance, and was put on anti-biotics, metro gel, Clindesse...nothing EVER worked for more than 2 months. Then I got an incredible gynecologist (Dr. Teresa Hubka who practices in Chicago) and she suggested cryotherapy (even though I never had an abnormal pap) because she suspected my cervix was the issue. I had the cryo and was free of infections for an entire YEAR! (That was a huge improvement) But after a year of zero symptoms, it came back. (Three in a row even after using metro gel and Cliness again) I tried acupuncture to test out something else, and I have been 100% free of infection since. It's been amazing, and I wanted to share this with you guys because I know how difficult it is to suffer from these chronic infections. It caused serious depression and issues with sex for me, it was awful. Hopefully those of you who are suffering will try acupuncture and it will cure you! (My acupuncturist is Larisa Turin, also in Chicago, is amazing and said it was an immune system issue)Comment

cronic vaginosis
I have cronic vaginosis sometimes with yeast infections sometimes without. I am 27 and have 2 children via c section and the vaginosis started 3 years ago just after having my second daughter. I also got giardia (sp?) at some point in there too. the itch is so pervasive especially after sex that i dont want to have sex just to avoid the itch. no strange smells or discharges. i use all free and clear laundry soap and free and clear dryer sheets.i wear cotton underwear and loose fitting pants. i take a daily acidophilus chewable tablet to hopefully keep the yeast at bay but it doesnt help much.. the doctor haas given my do many difulcan and metroconizole (sp?) that i think i should be excreeting it in my sweat by now... sigh if anyone can offer and ideas.

Ash, do a search thread on this, on our Forum... Your not alone and you have to get on top of it and solve it.
Or cut and paste and start your own thread.. I noted your comment in our chat section
But old threads get lost, so your always better to start your own when you have a question.
It's natural that you've lost your sex drive under the circumstances but you have to change Doctors if they can't help you with fixing it.
