I understand and agree with what you are saying about the definition (or lack there-of) and thanks :-)"I met in the street a very poor young man who was in love. His hat was old, his coat worn, his cloak was out at the elbows, the water passed through his shoes, - and the stars through his soul."- Victor Hugo -
He said MOST not all... and from everything I've ever seen written by a man on this forum is porn has played a role in their sex life, whether or not it ALWAYS has or Still does, or doesn't anymore is what varies.
I do think that the guys in their late 20's and younger... have grown up with a pc in the home, have had an access to instant visual stimulation in a way that has never been as readily available, in such quantity, variety and in such a simple way... ever.
We as a society are now seeing the effects of what growing up, developing a sexuality in the age of instant visual fantasy fullfillment on relationships.
Some of the older men here may remember a time when they had to put a little more effort into getting their porn fix. It does not always turn into an addiction and some people never go searching for more extreme version of porn...
But when men are become so bored with seeing women naked, that its no longer stimulating and now they have to seem them naked on a skewer smothered in bbq sauce with a corncob rammed up their rear to get any sensation in their trousers -- how in the world they can then turn that side of their sexuality into a loving, sexually healthy relationship , well... jury is still out.Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.Comment

The man in the relationship has the problem that needs to be addressed. He either has an addiction or intimacy problems.
The woman should communicate the hurt that he is causing.
If he loves his SO he will start dealing with the problem and make changes to end the hurt he is causing.
If he can't do that, the woman should rethink the relationship because he's not supportive of her emotionally and physically in a way that she needs.
I don't think an affair would be the right way for a woman to handle the situation. But, everybody and every relationship is different.Comment

There has been so many threads on this. Its a vicious subject.
In my opinion, porn is not a bad thing. My guy can watch it and it wouldn't bother me whatsoever as long as it doesn't affect our relationship.
But not all women agree,Some think they have to compete with the girls in the movies or they think there SO is fantasizing about the women in the movies during sex.If my man loves me and is attracted to me,then I trust he will only be thinking of me and not some plastic barbie doll.Comment

That's correct. Men are bombarded with naked or half naked women every day. Erect penises are not allowed to be shown anywhere, but naked breasts, behinds and even vaginas are very easily shown wherever you look. Smells like a men-controlled world to me.

I USE to feel/think this way when I was single. Even in early on in my relationship I felt this way... now I have a hard time seeing how it doesn't impact the relationship in some way shape or form... it seems to, at some level, have an effect.Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.Comment
