By "your position" you mean 'a young student who needs money'? I know a ton of students who would never consider such an option. I've been such a student for many years, I need money, but would I ever have sex with a stranger? Let alone for money? And filmed on top of it all?

May I ask, what would you do with that money? (we're only talking hypothetically anyway, I'm just trying to understand the way of thinking). And, what's stopping you from pursuing such a deal? You know it's easy to do in our days.

Wow - many interleaved threads. IMHO:

Watching porn: A problem if it affects your sex life, takes away time with your partner, or from other important things, not if it doesn't. I would make the exact same argument for masturbating with sex toys.

Making porn: Some women are coerced (financially usually) into it, some do it purely for the money, some enjoy it. Since there are women (and men) who post free explicit videos of themselves on the web, I have to believe that some women enjoy being watched having sex.

Abusive porn: BDSM, scat, other things exist in porn. They also exist in peoples real lives. As with other porn, some of the actor enjoy this sort of thing, some don't. No easy way to get statistics.

Porn is unlikely to go away (I've seen 2000 year old Roman explicit pictures).

Some "Porn" is actually done tastefully. I myself look at magazines that feature female models posing alone. They have chosen this as a career path like any other. I honestly believe this form of porn is harmless.

This is very sad. I would hate to think of my wife being jealous of porn. My wife is definately enough and if me looking at porn distressed her at all i would stop instantly. Though I should point out that i only ever look at porn on the web and only then quite rarely. IMO when a man would rather watch porn than have sex (or even just spend time with a real woman) then he has a problem. However if a guy can occassionally watch pron without it affecting his day to day life theres no harm done.

Just because you two would not do this (and fair play to you) doesn't mean there's something wrong with someone else because they would. Because the world doesn't move to the beat of just one drum! *breaks into song*

Firstly, the money would be awesome. Not living in the overdraft, no credit card repayments? Get in! I could go on holiday more, festivals, live more extravagantly. Money isn't everything to me but, for example, a load of my mates are hangin out for a few days in Birmingham tomorrow but I need to save me pennies for other fun things I have planned. There's a gig Saturday I could go to alternatively but the same applies. With my newfound porn money, this would not be the case!

In regards to the second point, I have considered it in the past and looked into it seriously as an option. As a male, it's not quite the same deal though. You get paid a fraction the girls do (maybe 50 - 150 quid a typical scene?), you have to take a load of viagra and what-have-you as you'll be performing for maybe 4 hours under quite tasking conditions and it's very difficult to break straight into straight porn so you'll probably end up doing gay porn a lot which I'm not nearly as keen on. Plus, I'm in a relationship atm so it's not really even on the table. If the right money and circumstances were offered, I could see myself doin it in the future though.
