That was tongue-in-cheek. Since whips were a major component, that would require someone to get whipped to make sure the whips continued to work after some use and weren't unnecessarily damaging. I don't think that job description would pass Fed OSHA and Cal OSHA regulations. I don't know about sex shops in New Zealand (Its a beautiful country, but I've never done that sort of shopping there). In the US the BDSM shops often have "leather" in the name (Mistress S leather, LeatherMasters are 2 near here). There are also non-BDSM shops like goodvibrations that are also very nice and not embarrassing places to go. Look for places that do not have video booths and do not primarily sell porn videos.

Things may be different in NZ. (and I was kidding about the sheep...). Aukland is pretty big. I see a listing there for the pleasure chest - if it is like the store in Los Angeles, then it is nice, but a quick look at their site makes it look like just a normal shop.
