Haha, I was reading that and thought of another activity entirely. Replace peach with "cherry." ;0

It is a total body experience. A taste and scent orgasm.
Exactly. the flavor of a peach is very complex, but that of a strawberry is more one dimensional. Add that to the overload of other senses and things are possible. Let me add that the texture can also be heavenly, as well as the feel of the fuzzy skin. And there is the delightful shading of colors is a tree ripened peach. The only sense left out is that of hearing.

Well I make yummy sounds when I am eating one. They probably sound a lot like sex noises.

Not logged on for a day or two, and see what interesting thread I've missed.
          Some points (in random order)

Peaches, really???? Their skin make my skin crawl. Strawberries, though, that I can understand.

Moving on to more important points.

When we compare the role of male and female orgasm, we absolutely have to take into account aspects from biology. A male sperm is required to produce offspring, for this the guy has to cum (or at least get very close to it). A female orgasm is (unfortunately) not required.
Almost all brains of male mamals trigger reward reactions after reaching an orgasm. Not having an orgasm (over a period of time) does not yield such rewards which in turn triggers changes of behavior (more aggressive, wanking, frustration, whatever).
So these rewards are triggered by an orgasm (because it means the chance of having children just increased), who the partner feels (if there was one) is irrelevant, the reward cycles are triggered in any case.
As far as I know, the female brain works somewhat different here. Having sex without a big (female) O, is not the end of the world. I do not want to belittle anything here, but it appears to me, that sex without the woman cumming is not quite as bad to her, as him not coming is to him.
I explain this by the different biological roles in reproducing. His orgasm is required to produce offspring, hers is not.
Sure thing I love it, when my gf has an orgasm, but if it's is not happening (for whatever reason) then I don't start to worry instantaneously. If she's all sweaty and kisses and hugs afterwards, then I know things aren't too bad.

Men's magazines and sex: I fully agree that more of women's magazines have more and more in-depth articles on that topic. But you can't just blame the journalists for this. Keep in mind, that you have to sell the mags. And sadly the male readership is (apperantly) not as willing to buy such (good) advice....

Phil: Blaming is never a good idea. Orgasm should be a mutual thing, to be thoroughly enjoyed by all parties involved. Some women report to only reach an orgasm after oral stimulation, how is any girl in the world ever to figure this out on her own?? Communication is key: before, during and after sex.

Sexually aggressive females: I think times have changed and are still changing somewhat. I now have the feeling that the trend is going in the direction that as long as both parties are fine with each other, almost all behaviour is acceptable.

Overall I feel that we guys look very bad in this thread, I do not think that this is fully justified. As much as I think women should realize that they are absolutely adorable the way they are, we shouldn't be ashamed of ourselves. At least, some of us are quite sweet too!

WannaBee I read somewhere that a woman's orgasm helps to sort of "suck" the sperm into herself (say if she had one after the man ejaculated). I also assume it provides a much nicer ride for sperm (with all that added lubrication) before the fact. So while it's not necessary, biologically, it still HELPS, a lot, biologically. Or so it seems.

I'm not sure I understand what biology, however, has to do with you being unconcerned about your girlfriend not having an orgasm. Surely when most people have sex it's purely for enjoyment, unless the couple is in the process of planning a family. So surely in most cases biology can go out the window.

MesT: I also (vaguely) recall, that a female orgasm does HELP with fertilization. It is however not strictly necessary. If the female orgasm didn't provide any help for the survival of the species, it would hardly have developed. Good thing it does

With us, it is purely for enjoyment , she's using bc.
I never wanted to imply that I am unconcerned when she dosen't cum. I try to express myself more clearly. I know (or so I claim) that sometimes she just cannot reach an orgasm. Sometimes her legs cramp or her brain doesn't permit it because she is not fully into it. In such a (rather rare) case, I have come to accept it, that there's (sadly) nothing I can do to make her cum.

Maybe I should have started a new paragraph, when I started writing about us. I didn't want to imply too close a causal connection there.

I didn't feel I was "blaming" anyone. I agree good communication is paramount. I do say though, if you cannot do it yourself, how can you expect your partner to know how to bring you orgasms. Finally, you say, many women can only orgasm through oral sex. Really? Slippery fingers should be able to emulate oral. After all, you always have your fingers but don't always have an extra tongue around for the job. (ie: if your single etc)

Issues women tend to have with orgasm are the lack of ability to recognize arousal, lack of mind/body connection, fear of being branded a ho, little or poor knowledge of their own bodies, and failure to own their right to pleasure on their own or with a partner.

Many women will put responsibility for their pleasure on a man. Where and what have most men learned about female pleasure? How are they supposed to have learned this? From porn - NOT. From other men?- unlikely. From women?- if they are lucky.

But then where are the women supposed to have learned it? From mom and dad? Most likely they grew up with, "don't touch there", "nice girls...", "save yourself for marriage". From their gfs? Who get their info from? Society? Which hands out mixed messages like crazy? Be sexy, be alluring, the looks and package are what counts, don't be a ho, don't be 'loose', if you got raped you must have been asking for it, turn him on, drive him crazy, Girls Gone Wild, keep your legs crossed, no more funding for BC...

At least in the US there is no rational thinking in anything related to sexuality. It is political football being kicked around, stolen, hidden, played with.

The contractions basically "pull up" the sperm. It is not required as the sperm still make their way around without contractions but it can help. Lubrication is there even if orgasm does not occur and it is still there even if the woman cannot physically feel any wetness, dripping down the leg with lubrication or all over the bed is not absolutely required.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.

WOW WC that was beautifully written. Had me wishing I was there eating that peach- taking time to breath in the fragrance- getting my mouth and fingers wet as the peach starts to surrender its composure- mmm truly a taste and scent orgasm.
