i might be what you are talking of. '3.7' or '4' at full potential. i also found out that they sport a much stiffer erection that a '12' inch monster which i'm very happy with. if you ask a woman if it's size or a good mounting they want...well, u know the answer!!

    Great post, skippy!

On another note, I think that comparing breast to penis size is a poor analogy. Penis size is more related to vagina size, as both are directly related to sexual sensation. Note that I said sensation, not satisfaction. Satisfaction would imply better or worse, while sensations can just be different. Kegels can enhance the tightness of a vagina, but some are bigger and some are smaller, and no amount of kegels can change your size. Sure, vaginas close up to accommodate any size penis that is inserted, but there are varying degrees of sensation that are applied based on the way two people fit together.

First off, I completely agree with the sound advice some people have outlined that what makes sex great is the bond and relationship. When there is a bond and a great relationship, size issues -- be it breast size or penis size -- are irrelevant and those that do have hang-ups, in my mind, illustrate low ego development (which is a psychological problem within the person).

With this said, however, when it comes to understanding penis size I think a key question is where are people getting there information from? If you are getting information from website that are selling enlargement pills or watching pornography, you are getting extremely poor and even dysfunctional information (and as an aside, I think pornography has nothing good about it). If you are judging it off of what people say in internet forums (like this one) or what a past girlfriend is stating, you are getting poor information. If you have been in a penis size contest or comparison (e.g., men comparing, wet underwear contest) this is also inaccurate information because it’s based on just a handful of people and in most cases only larger men will enter such events. It seems to me that since the internet has became popular and forums have developed, that everyone seems to say they have a larger penis or their boyfriend does (such as the comments by some of the people in this actual thread).

To get accurate information, I think the best public site is Wikipedia on the search of “human penis size” because it lists a variety of research studies that were reported in real medical and health journals. These are independent researchers (not a girl friend of a boyfriend who can make things up) and the measurement is done in a standardized and scientific manner. If you go to this website and read through the various studies, I think it’s very clear that an average erect size is 6 inches long and 5 inches thick. So the Op who stated he is small by being 5.5 inches is making a judgment off of extremely poor information – in real life we are talking about a half of an inch. My understating is that 90% of men fall within a size of 5.5-6.5 inches. I know that there are men that are larger (and I have a difficult time Lizzy’s comments that her boyfriend is 9.5 inches long), but these are really fair and few.

I honestly believe that some of the self reports that men and women give on website – including this actual thread – are off due to lack of proper measurement technique (especially in length, not so much related to circumference) and due to personal/psychological reasons (e.g., because an inch is so small, it would be easy to add an inch or so to a measurement making an honest human error in measuring someone you like and would like to report positive news).

With this said, I do not want to undermine anyone feelings. As a male, at one time in my life (like 15 years ago) I thought size was important related to both men and women. I know realize that men (and women) who are smaller usually beat themselves up for it and men who are larger usually sexually objectify themselves – sadly, there is can be a sexually objectifying rush when a man is larger, and this can lead to self-sexual objectification and behavior that leads toward harm (e.g., wet underwear contests, comparing via watching pornography, etc.). So many dysfunction behaviors are created by literally being an inch or two larger or smaller. I think it’s quite sad and this dysfunction behavior is getting worse and worse as more size commercials and comments on TV appear to become mainstream.

In the end, I think life is simply about finding a soul-mate and developing a relationship bond, thus rendering size issues as irrelevant and silliness.

I am an "average" 5.5", I heard 2 reports on the TV in 1 week, 1 report said average was 5" which made me feel much more comfortable about things but a few days later again on TV (BTW I was only watching normal TV but dont know how/why they reported it) they said average was 6", so now Im below average :-(.
This is what will continue to happen because it is very difficult to get an exact number. So to make it fair take all those reports you may hear and take the average of them. Making 5.5" the average.

My bf is about 7 1/2" on a good day and I can say it can hurt. Going wild can hurt, going slow can hurt, and other times he can go all the way and I am fine. It is all dependent on my arousal and any prep foreplay we do. There are times when he pushes all the way and it hurts but if he pushes in to the average 5.5-6 then it is fine with no jolt of pain from it hitting the cervix. I also have a 6" vibrator and I rarely go in all the way because the base is too wide....too wide hurts. Consumer reports like to over-exaggerate because it is online and they need to sell the product, so they will only allow posts that makes it seem like utter bliss and nothing can compare.

I understand and agree with what is said here but a few things to add.......I am an "average" 5.5", I heard 2 reports on the TV in 1 week, 1 report said average was 5" which made me feel much more comfortable about things but a few days later again on TV (BTW I was only watching normal TV but dont know how/why they reported it) they said average was 6", so now Im below average :-(.
I often thought that the benefit of being longer would be you could do more things, try more positions, go wild and not go slow and careful to keep it in.
If you look at websites selling vibrators, many are above average size with reviews saying how amazin the big long shaft felt, etc.
I feel reasonably happy when I am fully erect but very self-concious when I am flaccid, the last time my wife and I made love I thought we might get her toy out to play with but she grabbed me before I had any arousal at all - we havent had sex since and that was over 2 months ago (I guess we do have other issues at the moment anyway so not blaming size but its just a thought).

Ive also heard that guys with size get cheated on by women with smaller guys, too. Women get tired of having to be careful during sex, and the soreness and pain that goes with it, and just want to enjoy rigorous sex without pain.

The soreness and tearing a woman could receive from sex with a larger one could force her not to have sex with him for long periods of time until things heal, leading to frustration. Frustration can lead to cheating.

At the end of the day, some people are shallow and some are cheaters, but you cant let them get you down.

Don't think you can hold on to a woman with size, because there's always going to be a bigger one out there, right? Well, unless you're that one "biggest" among the 3.5 billion males on earth, and gawd I'd hate to encounter THAT thing...!!!
