Why do women have lower sex drives than men?

    It's just not fair

Why can't women be as horny as we are?

You may want to read through some of the past postings here on WH. You will find that there are actually a LOT of women who have higher sex drives than their male counterpart It would be nice if both partners shared a similar sex drive, but unfortunately that seems to be kind of rare.

It can be frustrating for the both parties. Individuals with a strong libido want more than they are getting, conversely, those with lower libidos often get frustrated with themselves because they feel they are not fulfilling their obligation to their partner.

Keep in mind that hormonal BC often lowers a woman's libido. Some women have even resorted to eliminating BC pills and rely on basal temperature to track ovulation and the use of condoms. An understanding partner who is willing to work with their significant other usually fair much better with the quanity and quality of sex they receive.

You haven't changed your opinion since starting this thread: https://www.womens-health.com/boards...rison-men.html?

Are you still a virgin? How have you come to your conclusion about the female sex drive?

Why does the the US society assume women do not desire sex? There are cultures around the world that have the exact opposite view, ie women are always horny. It's not just the OP.

sp, can you please talk about this here, in a new thread, or just shoot me a PM as to where I could find this information. This is only the second time I've ever heard this. I think I heard it on NPR, but couldn't remember the program so I searched for it and never found it. I think it was in some Middle Eastern culture that it was believed the women were more libidinous. I'm really interested in hearing more.

I happen to be a woman with a very high libido, I got married in July 2012, and my husband had been married before to a woman who didnt want sex ever. So he thought he had hit the jack pot in the sex department, I am 51 and he is 46. Now after the honeymoon part has worn off and we are starting to settle in, I still would like it at least once a day, or twice if I could, but he isn't as strong if we do it everyday, and by strong I mean he doesn't get as hard as if I give him a break and maybe every other day, if I give him 2 days odd then it is fantastic, but sometimes I can't wait that long...lol
so, I think that men think that what they want is a woman with a high libido, but what they really want is sex on a regular basis?

My sex drive far exceeds any guy I know. Most can't keep up. Sometimes it causes their egos to explode and result in ED problems. Which doesn't help.

I also have a pretty strong sex drive but maybe the fact that it's not as physically obvious for us as it is for you guys comes into play. Believe me when I say we have as much a need for it as you do!

Libidos vary a lot for both men and women. The trick is to end up in a relationship where they are fairly well matched.
