At the pool today there were a few asian guys along with our regular mix of older american men, several of us were showering and changing after doing laps. I must say the sterotype of asian men was true with thse guys, flaccid at least. Tiny would be the word I'd use.
And a black guy can in later, the sterotype is true there as well.

Short answer is there is no "normal size" but there is an "average size"

Girl ask the guy with the tiny penis; "who do you think you're going to please with that?"
    Guy answers; "ME!"

Many men, of various sizes, worry about the size of their penis. For various reasons many men are unsatisfied and insecure with what they have been given. There is a well known contributor at another forum i read that says penis size, at the extreme ends of the range, may cause issues but in between the range most, if not all, issues can be managed. In fact, often there really isn't an issue at all.

I cannot speak for all men but I have learned a few things about size related concerns and insecurity from reading forums such as this one, speaking with people whose opinions on the subject I value and by reflecting on my own experience.

These thoughts, some learned here, are from my perspective and about myself but I hope they will resonate with others.

I always thought I was small. I am not. There is a big difference between being small and feeling small. It took me years to understand that.

My insecurity was as unnecessary as it was unattractive.

My insecurity has had a worse effect on intimacy in my relationships than the size of my penis has.

If anyone told me they thought less of me as a man because of my size I would be disappointed in them so why do I allow myself to think this way?

Why is it so much easier to use the opinions of the minority (those who are entitled to and have strong preferences for larger penises) to validate my insecurities instead of listening to the majority that would tell me I am ok just as I am?

I have spent a lot of time worrying about something that, in the grand scheme of things, meant very little. And, it meant far less to others than it ever did to me.

No one else needed to change... I did; so I have worked hard to do so.

For me the significance of this issue has been far worse in my imagination than it has been in real life. I have learned a lot and it has changed the way I see myself.

Thank you to those here that have helped me and try to help others!

This is where almost all of the media headlines got it wrong. Specifically, size no longer increased attractiveness once flaccid length reached 7.6 centimeters (about 3 inches)--further increases in size beyond this actually decreased attractiveness! For the record, research suggests that 3 inches is actually a little less than the average flaccid penis length"

If anything, the research showed that women don't want larger than average penis.

very interesting, could you provide a link to the actual study?

You have to pay to get the article or if you can go to an university library, may be able to look it up. Here is the abstract and citation.

Mautz, B. S., Wong, B. B. M., Peters, R. A., & Jennions, M. D. (in press). Penis size interacts with body shape and height to influence attractiveness. Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America.

Compelling evidence from many animal taxa indicates that male genitalia are often under postcopulatory sexual selection for characteristics that increase a male's relative fertilization success. There could, however, also be direct precopulatory female mate choice based on male genital traits. Before clothing, the nonretractable human penis would have been conspicuous to potential mates. This observation has generated suggestions that human penis size partly evolved because of female choice. Here we show, based upon female assessment of digitally projected life-size, computer-generated images, that penis size interacts with body shape and height to determine male sexual attractiveness. Positive linear selection was detected for penis size, but the marginal increase in attractiveness eventually declined with greater penis size (i.e., quadratic selection). Penis size had a stronger effect on attractiveness in taller men than in shorter men. There was a similar increase in the positive effect of penis size on attractiveness with a more masculine body shape (i.e., greater shoulder-to-hip ratio). Surprisingly, larger penis size and greater height had almost equivalent positive effects on male attractiveness. Our results support the hypothesis that female mate choice could have driven the evolution of larger penises in humans. More broadly, our results show that precopulatory sexual selection can play a role in the evolution of genital traits.

You're very well informed and if this is a subject of interest to you, you may enjoy readng "Sex at Dawn: The Prehistoric Origins of Modern Sexuality" by Christopher Ryan, Cacilda Jetha. It was a 2010 bestseller, and, while not hard science, it offers some enlightening theories about our early human and pre-human origins (most of our history and elemental development. I have no connection to the book, but I received it as a gift, read it, and found it more thought-provoking than almost anything else I've read in the past five years. Given the thread, I'll mention that it addresses penis size, human evolution, sexual selection, and female preference at various points wihthout overly dwelling on it.

I have a large penis, and it's not all it cracked up to be

Ok, I was watching something on tv that made me curious about what is average. Until I started having sex with woman I never knew I had a large penis. In fact I had been worried that I might be smaller than average. Recurring commentary from women quickly made me realize otherwise. For the record I'm about 10" long and 6" around. No, I'm not just writing this to brag about my giant penis. The truth is that it has often been a problem, after the novelty wears off anyways. I like very petite women. You know what petite woman don't like? Having their vaginas and anuses ripped open or being jabbed in the lungs when they have sex. You know what I don't like? Only being able to fit about 1/2-2/3 of my penis in because that's simply as deep as it goes before I hit a wall. I would much rather be able to fit the whole thing in there. Having sex from behind is particularly problematic for me. You tend to hit deeper that way, and I definitely will hit a wall if I'm not VERY careful. Personally, I like to kind of go kind of fast when I'm going from behind. The whole pounding it in there fast and furious thing. For me that is a great way to put a girl in tears, make them bleed, and never see them again. Moral of the story is don't worry if your penis isn't huge. If it's tiny...yeah...sorry...that sucks. Otherwise, deal with it. Also, if you are smaller than normal then try different positions...like from behind. Toys work well too. They don't ever get tired. I'm 30 years old, and my wife is 21. Add to that the fact that she seriously has a problem...she is a legitimate sex addict. I can't keep up with that. Toys are your friend!

Welcome, Fallinggator! Interesting post - especially about your wife and the toys. A lot of the members seem to imagine that a smaller man may have to make up for size with toys, yet you seem to use them quite a bit.

I won't ask you about the size of her genitals, because even with the anonymity, that seems uncool. But do you think that you two connected because of the extremes - your size and her desire? Like does she tolerate pain more or is she more willing to endure it because of her high drive? Does she actually prefer a much larger penis than most non-sex addicts you've encountered?

The thing I always wonder is whether or not women's genitals vary as much as ours. Most people fluctuate around the averages, but is there a woman with a 10" vagina out there somewhere disappointed because most men only fill her up 1/2-2/3 of the way?
