Did you have to overcome any emotional issues or other uncertainties along the way, aside from your concerns about hurting him and the worry over "torture?" I assume it gradually became easier emotionally to tie him up, etc., and that somewhere along the line you started to enjoy it or realized you enjoyed it all along.
