I know this is getting off topic, but that is such an interesting concept. Since beauty is a socially defined concept, it is true that we find children with characteristics out of the norm to be beautiful. My children as biracial, and from a Caucasian standpoint, they have this olive complexion that most people envy (since most Caucasians have fairer skins) and from an Asian perspective, they are much more lighter skined and "beautiful" compared to their darker skinned cousins.
But again, I am a biased mother who thinks my kids are more beautiful than others.

So what you all are saying is that big white women and black men, feeling rejected by the society they long to be a part of, are drawn to one another, not just for comfort, but to make beautiful biracial babies in the hopes that, just maybe, they would get what they never had through that lovely child?"Those sowing seed with tears

Haha, Stillness no. It doesn't matter your size, if you have a beautiful heart and personality, you're attractive to all types of people regardless of if you're 100 lbs or 300 lbs. I feel like you're digging to stir the pot. I was just stating my opinion that bi racial children are beautiful. Besides that, big white women and black men rejected by society?? Really, WHO ISN'T these days. You can single out one race or another or gender...we're all rejected by somebody.Comment

Nah. I was joking. Please forgive my weird sense of humor. I'm the last person that would be stirring any racial pot. I don't believe in human races.
Your observation really did pique my interest, though - almost as much for what it says about you as what it does for your cousin, women like her, and the "black" men they get involved with, if it's representative of any real phenomenon. I'm curious as to why she has that preference. Is it physical? Cultural? Do they treat her better? I'd really like to know. I understand the OP's interest as a young man. It was about the sexual excitement of exploring something foreign and different. I'm guessing that your cousin has a different motivation."Those sowing seed with tears
Will reap with a joyful shout." - Psalm 126Comment

I figured you were joking- but I wasn't sure lol
I don't know either. I wasn't sure if it was my place to ask either. Her ex husband who is a super redneck (wears cowboy boots, rides 4-wheelers for fun and goes "coon bashing") and then all of a sudden she slept with 1 black guy and was SOOO amazed, and that's all she prefers now. I don't know if it was the sex, or if she just finds them sexier, or maybe it's just BECAUSE it's the complete opposite of her ex, but she's done a 180. Even the places she hangs out at, her friends, and the music she listens to are complete opposite now. Maybe she is having an identity crisis?Comment

It does sound rather physical, based on it happening specifically after she slept with this guy. Does she sleep with a variety of black men now, or just this one guy? If she's just 'getting hers,' that would also suggest she sees some sexual/physical cabability or superiority there (or like you say, possibly some sort of rebellion against her former life, if she had such disdain for her ex and all he represented), but I don't know that it's that significant if she just fell in love with some guy and likes the sex with him.Originally posted by catI don't know either. This has the trappings of appearing to be some type of quasi-racial biased behavior, altho I see it quite a lot myself - white women who have "sworn off" white men and seem committed to sleeping with black men exclusively. I've never really had an in-depth discussion with these ladies as to why.Comment
