When you question why they're together, it's like asking why they're attracted to them. And when you ask that, the implication could be that they're less desirable. I think that's what Justice is picking up on - maybe incorrectly. I got something like that too, but I try not to assume.

It's like when people ask, "Why do rich black athletes marry white women?" Besides being racist, the person asking is typically expressing some displeasure with the situation. Academic curiosity may factor in, but disapproval is in there somewhere.
This is passive aggressive, but this is what bothers me. A person can't have a discussion without someone trying to break things down and "read between the lines". Someone is ALWAYS offended, even if it's such a neutral topic. Nothing displeases me, and I've stated it before about big people, little people, skinny people, black people, asian people, white people, hispanic people....men women, you name it. We're all equal under God's green earth...why are we trying to pick this apart and make it into something it's not?

I agree ....at some strange juncture this turned into a thread examining catwoman's inner feelings and motivations and what might be 'wrong' with them. Why I still don't really know, when she just stated some fairly basic observations that didn't even contain overt opinions, and being as until then this thread was mainly just about black guys and white girls getting together.

Allow me to mod for a moment...

Let's quit dissecting the motivations behind an innocent question and just discuss the topic, shall we? No one said anything racist (yet), no one said anything directly offensive (yet). Don't look for reasons to be offended. If the topic is a sore one for you, stay out of the conversation.

So get back on topic, because I will close the thread otherwise.

          Indeed, my sister.

For what it's worth, there was no passive aggression in my comment. I stated exactly what I felt. It's partly because of my own experience. In the part of my comment that you left off, I also stated why my feelings could be mistaken and later said we should take your explanation of your own comments as truth. I don't feel any aggression towards you. I appreciate your presence here.

I was simply stating that there is a similar curiousty for black men to have interest in white women as much as the other. This just went to a different level. You would think someone was cutting checks for all of the dialogue sparked up here. It's not that serious.

              The un-known.

Would it be fair to say that in a population of almost all black, that sex would be between the same culture and that to have sex with someone that was "different" in this instance you are talking colour, so white that would be "different". Or visa versa and curiosity is most definitely there.

We've been down the path many a time over what men prefer, what females prefer, it ranges hugely, there just simply are people that like large booties and people that like small breasts or short men, or tall men, it's just nature.

I also think we have to look at demographics. Country life, breeds a type, City life breeds a type, growing up with home cooking breeds a type, in-other-words a lot of what people like, is either what they are used to and see visually daily or what they haven't ever had before and want to try out.

No one is right or wrong, as there is no right or wrong with personal taste or preference.
