Need Christian advice
I'm a Christian, and I go to a Bible Church. I'm still a vergin and plan on being one until I'm married. My questian is, is it ok to masturbate? What about with a vibrater? I know the Bible doe not say much about this. I have read that masturbating is wrong by God. I used to do it, but I stopped. It was all done by my self, never with any one. Can any one help me??? Thanks,

I am a Christian too. I had 12 years of Parochial School. Like you I planned on being a virgin when I married. And may I add, I was a virgin when I married.I'm a Christian, and I go to a Bible Church. I'm still a vergin and plan on being one until I'm married. My questian is, is it ok to masturbate? I masturbated before I married. I never used a vibrator because they just were not in that much at that time. I know of no religion that forbids this. I cannot imagine any God not allowing a woman to masturbate by herself. But honey, this is just my own thinkiing after many years of school and lots of growing.
This is the best advice I can give you on this without knowing of your sect of religion. God wants us to be happy and grow and be a good person and explore and learn our sexuality. Masturbating is part of our growth as a woman and will prepare us for our sexual life ahead. You are a very special person and I don't think you are doing absolutely anything wrong.
Much love and have a happy life......Take Care, Caroline -

Anyway, you don't want to be inserting things inside you because you will break your hymen and technically will no longer be a virgin.
Otherwise, you should be OK to "help" yourself until you get married.
You can still catch sexually transmitted diseases from anal sex and oral sex if another person has herpes etc. if you branch out.
When you are ready to get married pray for a compatible mate.Comment

Whether my hymen was broken from all my other activities in life I will never know. Horse back riding can cause this but I was a virgin. No man had penetrated me with his penis. Fingered. Yes. Tongued. Yes. This is my wording on a virgin.
I will admit I know of none of the rights and wrongs of the Muslim religious beliefs. I will also admit that I know of some quack Christian advisors, that should be called something else, that I never would send a young girl to. I would tell this child to talk to her Mother if she is troubled after reading what she has read here. If you have to talk with anyone please make it a woman.....Much safer...Comment

I agree. A virgin, in biblical terms means a female "untouched" by man.Last edited by Fallen1; 12-03-2007, 07:30 AM.There is a method to my madness ........ I just haven't found it yet.Comment

What a good question. There is a passage in the Bible that some pastors like to cite when discussing this topic. Basically, one of the prophets was instructed by God to impregnate his wife. Instead, he "spilled his seed" on the ground and was punished for doing this. This seems a far cry from a general prohibition for masturbation. The Bible is notably silent on the matter otherwise. I have read the document several times cover-to-cover. Jesus is silent on the matter. No news is good news, eh?Comment

There us nothing wrong with masturbating, it relaxes you and makes it easier to sleep, I think it helps me with stress.
I have read that most of the really cronic problems associated with sex stem from strict religious up bringing.
In some of the case studies where the parental mother was so strict and associated "negative" connotations with sex it renders the women unable to enjoy sex and sex becomes both painful and something to be avoided.
Sex with the right person can be a beautiful thing, or a real nightmare, don't create problems in this area or it may become the cause of the "end" of your marriage.
If you can reach orgasm, you will understand that sex is a very powerful tool to bond couples together for life.
It is know that oxytocin and vasopressin are released when couples are orgasmic, this neuro chemical binds the man to the women and helps keep him around to look after the children.
Orgasm is free, its the most wonderful and magical way a couple can express their true love for each other.
You highly like will experience problems if you mother or father were "strict" and associated negative things with your "genitals" or with enjoying sex.
From my experience brothers, sisters and friends, most people are not able to reach orgasm in life, for whatever reason, ignorance, arrogance, self interest, selfishness, or insensitive.
If you can masturbate to orgasm it will help you achieve orgasm with your partner if he is "educated" in such matters, make sure you read as much as you can together about sex, the good the bad and the indifferent.
I don't like abberated sex or perversion, so I will not engage in certain types of sex like anal etc.
Be aware of toxic chemicals in dildos, its better to use your fingers this will also help if you have any issues with touching yourself.
If your intelligent, realistic, and educated you and your partner may have a higher chance of achieving orgasm.
If your vagina gets wet when you masturbate you shouldn't have too many problems.
Its our right as a women to enjoy sex, I don't care what anybody says I love sex, and my relationship is strong, passionate and emotional, and thats how I want it.Comment
