    my guilt of masturbation

Hi I always have felt guilty of masturbating after my mother walked into my bedroom when I was 13. I can remember her saying sorry and leaving the room. I was embarrassed to look her in the eye for several days. After about a week passed and she told I was doing nothing wrong as all boys do it around that age. She said she had seen me throughout my life washing or bathing me so was not too embarrassed, although she admitted that she had never seen me stiff. All was forgotten and life carried on for the past few years. To cut a long story short I found out she had told her sister, (my aunt) not at the time but about last year in passing conversation. About a month ago my aunt brought up the episode and asked me straight out if I still masturbate. One thing leads to another and she asked me to do it in front of her whilst she rubbed between her thighs, which I did. She did not remove her pants and no sex took place. She said that she got great pleasure in seeing me toss off. As a bashful 18 year old do you think that I should be doing this in front of her? Remember it was her who initiated it.

Roy, if this story is accurate, it is wrong on so many levels. Your Aunt should never have put you in that situation and she should not be getting off on watching her nephew masterbate. It does not matter who initiated the event. I fear that her behavior will only escalate and, with each step, it will not seem too outrageous.

While I get the excitement for you, once is plenty. Look for girls your own age. I would also tell your Mom what happened . . . she will take care of the situation for good.

I'm not sure there's any culture that would consider such a thing appropriate. Especially with the age difference. Your aunt is in a position of authority and seems to be exploiting you. You don't have to agree just because she's your aunt and if it has made you extremely uncomfortable or she won't leave you alone you should tell someone who can explain to her how wrong it is.

I completely agree with effy. You may officially be an adult at 18, but you are still her nephew, kind of like a son. Would you think this was appropriate behavior for your mother? If not, then it is not appropriate behavior for your aunt. she is taking advantage of a mother-son type of relationship.

I agree with all that has been written by the members above.

At the same time, I feel constrained to deliver a mild rebuke. You are 18. An adult in many jurisdictions, nearly so in most others. It's time to start thinking and acting as an adult.

When I was 18, I had several aunts I saw regularly. Not one was so perverted that she would have sought to prevail upon me, her nephew, to put on a live sex show for her. None would have asked about my masturbatory practices. They were ladies. BUT, had they done so, I would have recoiled in horror and embarrassment and not engaged in any discussion of the topic.

You said "one thing leads to another" and she asked you to do the unthinkable. You have not provided all the salacious details of "one thing" or "another" and we can only imagine. Then you ask: "do you think that I should be doing this in front of her?" What sort of answer do you expect, man? Surely you must have the maturity at 18 to know the answer!

Yes, she was wrong, egregiously so, and her moral culpability high. She was in a position of some authority, as suggested by kira, but more in a position of trust, in my view. So her conduct was reprehensible by any standard. But you must shoulder some blame for what occurred. As I said, you are no longer a child. Unless you have a mental disability not disclosed here, you should not be so highly suggestible at your age. As my mother would have said to you: "If someone told you to jump in the lake, would you do it?"

I am not suggesting you must henceforth walk about with your head lowered in shame and carry the feeling of "guilt" to which you refer. Regard it as a learning and maturing experience and put it behind you.

Whether you should now relate the whole debacle to you mother, as effy suggests, I won't venture an opinion. Your mother's ill-thought-out remarks to your aunt about a private matter were the catalyst for the sorry affair. What might follow in the wake of a revelation to your mom I cannot predict.

I read this thread and then thought what if the roles were reversed? What if it was an older uncle asking a young niece to do this? Would the tone of the responses be stronger? This sounds very perverted to me.

JNS, I think the issue isn't gender but the OP's age. He was an adult when this happened. So basically two consenting adults. Legally nothing wrong was done. It was more of a moral issue.

Interesting question. What do you think that you, as a bashful 18 year old man should do?

I don't know how you were brought up roy james, but its completely inappropriate for any sexual activity between family members as far as I'm concerned. How do you feel about it? Were you happy to allow it to happen? Do you know what incest is? Given your age, I guess it's up to you to decide the outcome of this and whether or not it happens again. Good luck

                    Roy, welcome to WH.

Firstly, let's break this down. Why did you feel guilty when you Mother walked in? It's not a sin to masturbate nor is abnormal.

Secondly, now that you are 18, what do you think of the said subject? Notably that you agreed to do so in front of your Aunty without question really and in my opinion, it's her fault in your eyes, she initiated it. I get the feeling that you think she was wrong and you again, feel guilty are you still a Virgin?

Also if I can ask how old is your Aunty and has she ever given you reason to feel that she liked you in any way, is she married?

A lot of 18 year olds are "shy" at sex especially if they haven't had it yet. Do you think that morally this was wrong on your behalf, as other have stated, you are a young Adult.

I noted, you stated in your introduction that there were men here and so, you wanted to start a thread.. But, you actually came onto a Woman's Forum knowingly before finding that out, so was your question aimed at women and you thought men would say "good on you?" .

I would like to understand you better before I give a reply and hope that you answer as well.
