I'm curious why now, after all these years, you took an interest in dating and sex. There's nothing wrong with choosing singleness and being uninterested in a sexual or romantic relationship.

If you've just experienced a new interest, that's great, but I hope there's not a component of outside pressure influencing you. If that's the case, that may explain the difficulty you're having as well. Maybe you're just not into it.

I have an old friend who is that way. She never dated but one guy and even then, she would say that it just didn't seem right, although it was a healthy relationship. They ultimately broke up and she's been single and celibate her whole life to now, in our 40s.

It's good to explore the possibility and seek to fulfill curiosity and have some fun. Nothing wrong with pushing your boundaries and seeing what's good for you. I hope you're being true to yourself in it all as well.

The sexual flow will come to you if it's right. Be patient and relax and take your time. Baby steps. You have to crawl before you walk. Don't get too concerned with advanced issues with sex, and just be in that moment with him. Enjoy the experience and decide what is best for you.

I felt a spark with him I'd never felt with anyone, we were hanging out one day and he hugged me and my insides just fluttered (for lack of better expression)

When he told me he was interested in me my pulse raced and I felt overjoyed. I asked him if he'd be willing to take things slower with me and we talked about what we both wanted in a relationship and it just progressed from there.
There are things that we do together that do turn me on its just the act itselfthat seem rather dull. I'm prone to over thinking (and chronic shyness/awkwardness doesn't help) that is why I asked on here to see if it was a normal thing and would get better.

There aren't any external pressures involved.

          That's a great thing! I love that!

Well, just continue taking it slowly and talking it through. Things will very likely improve with time and experience.

None of this might matter anymore. Doesn't look like things are going well for us.
He's taken my awkwardness and my being unsure as me not being interested or just doing it because he wants to.
I've ruined everything, I should have just stayed out of his life, at least then he wouldn't have to be feeling like a **** feeling that he's forced me.

What did he say? What happened?
Have you explained to him your thoughts and how you've been feeling about all this?

Yeah he took something I posted on Facebook as a shot at him and sent me a long message while he was at work. I sent one back.
I feel like garbage I spent all night going over it in my head. I really should have stayed single I've probably ruined a great friendship coz I decided to act on my feelings.

If he really wants a relationship with you, he will get over it. I take it that the reply was an apology for the misunderstanding. If it wasn't, the first rule of holes applies. If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing is to do is to quit digging. I should also caution you about posting what should be private conversations on a social media website. It just causes more problems.
