If it helps any, I'm usually more reserved than this in real life. At least with people I don't know well. I'm happy that I can laugh and joke about almost everything but I know my sense of humor is not everyone's cup of tea. As you've probably seen it can be very juvenile or raunchy sometimes. So I'm usually more careful about whom I show this side of myself to. Therefore, if we didn't know each other and were to go on a date somewhere, you might very well end up thinking that I'm on the boring side.

Maybe it's the same with some of the other guys. I do think there are plenty who can be both goofy and serious depending on what the situation calls for. But I'm sure some don't want to get too silly immediately and it might seem like they don't have a sense of humor and others might get nervous enough to were they only joke around and then come across as immature.

So you are a bore also? So maybe you need to get to know a guy a little and pray that a sense of humor comes out of them. Sometimes it may happen and if it doesn't, move on.

I remember with my ex, he wasn't all full of sense of humor. It slipped out at times and that is how I knew it was there. I saw a friend recently who didn't even know we had been dating. She described him as being that quiet guy. I remember thinking to myself, quiet? If she really knew him, she would have know that he has a wonderful sense of humor and personality.

Yep, I know this is not helping, talking about him. I'll slap myself off the head again to remind me it is not doing me any good.

I'd probably let it slip out a little too (my sense of humor I mean! ) but I think it's about right that maybe you need to get to know someone better before being certain if their sense of humor matches yours.

To be honest I haven't done much dating. Many of my past girlfriends I became friends with first and then found out that we like each other as more than just friends.

Try imagining you're the one doing the touching?

Sure, you were talking about your sense of humor.

Maybe it was just those guys but I didn't really find myself wanting to touch them. But Scott from before, now that was different. I have two more DVDs to check out. Hopefully, they are better.

One thing I didn't like also is they were sitting there but not looking into the camera. So you couldn't even pretend they were looking specifically at you. I'm hoping the other two are better. They are made from different studios so maybe.

I guess it felt more raunchy than sexy to me. Maybe there is no difference to those two words but I'm coming up with two different things in my mind.

Raunchy can be good. Very good. But let's get you to feeling sexy first.

I got an email this afternoon. It was a one of the guys I met Saturday night. After the 2012 movie, about eight of us went out to eat afterwards.

The website I find these local singles through has a link to a profile that I have filled out, in case someone wants to email me. Normally, guys email me before they have even meet me. I hate that. It is not match.com guys!! Or even a chatroom. What I hate even more are the guys who post me as their friend and I have never met them before. Some of those guys don't even email me. They just post me as their friend on their own profile because they like my picture. I call those guys my silent stalkers. lol

So I will give this guy a point for at least not emailing me until after he has met me. I guess I made an impression on this guy. Who one earth knows what I think about him. I'm not sure I want to think about it either. He emailed me with something simple like it was fun meeting me. He liked the stories I told and he hopes to see me at another event soon. Happy Thanksgiving.

I wrote back good meeting him, yep those horror date stories are bound to give someone a laugh, but thankfully I don't have too many of those to tell. Then I just said we are bound to run into each other again. And I wished him a Happy Thanksgiving as he had did.

I had a martini at the restaurant to relax me so I could get through the dinner without letting my mind wander too much over to you know who. That is where they carded me for the drink. i can normally be a little perky or bubbly or whatever you want to call it. But not dumb blond bubbly. The martini relaxed me some so I might have been a little more talkative than I would have been without it.

At the restaurant, we were talking about bad dates. The stories I told were match.com horror date stories. I mentioned one before on one of the other threads here. At the restaurant I told everyone that I had preferred these single events because I can get to know the guy better and it worked once for me. I told them that I had met my ex boyfriend through that. He was right around the age I was looking for. It lasted four and a half month and we broke up a few weeks ago. I said it was complicated why we ended it and that is it. I didn't mention my ex the rest of the evening, which was improvement for me. So if this guy was actually listening to me, he knows I'm on the rebound. But he is still emailing. As I said before, who knows. I just don't want to think.

I don't want to date just yet but I would be ok spending some time with him at another singles event. I will admit that I'm going to be a little bit afraid once I do start to date. And who ever turns out to be the first one that it lasts a few dates, I'm going to be afraid to hope that something could happen out of it. I'm guessing this is normal though. I just have to make sure I don't let it get out of hand.

I went out and bought some chamomile and sleepy tea today. My therapist wants me to relax when I tried touching or whatever I try but I don't want to drink too much wine.

How about talking a little dirty to yourself during your 'homework'? Maybe that'll you stay focused and relaxed.
