Yeah well I haven't actually completed the divorce, so it's just separated 8 months. But if the relationship died years ago, I don't see why I need to wait. There's zero emotional connection to her any more. Also, I'm more like Amy, very introverted. Do you ladies have even an inkling of what it's like to be a shy introverted guy today? I just don't meet people or have a circle of friends. So waiting is like total isolation.

Well the good news is two more dates this weekend. Maybe I won't get the No Chemistry notice from one of them. Wish me luck ladies

I see. I don't go out with men that aren't divorced, and generally steer clear unless they're divorced for quite awhile.
That may be part of your issue also, tho I don't know many that think like me on this issue.

Good luck this weekend! I have a first meeting and a second meeting this weekend also.

Keep us posted! I hope my comments haven't been too discouraging for you, but give you some things to think about.

Thanks Kitty. Not discouraged and I appreciate your somewhat brutal honesty. Good to know I have a sounding board. Hope your dates go well!

Not meant to be brutal or hurtful. I hope it's helpful.

Definitely helpful. It's just funny how easily you have me pegged. But I really appreciate having the inside track on the female mindset, kind of like consorting with the enemy . Have a great weekend!

I'm not the enemy, but I understand what you mean by that.

Of all the things you've said Kitty there's one that really sticks out. Being desperate for anyone might make someone feel like their not that important. Rings true. Thank you for that insight.

I'm glad that something I said got you thinking. Offering opinions is really just that, opinions. And while I mean nothing critically, I do hope it causes some thoughts to emerge.

How were your dates this weekend? I have a lunch meeting today, but last night's dinner date went well. I hope to see him again.

Dates were a bust. One got postponed the other barely lasted an hour. You know you're in trouble when you see the fingers tapping the table. Think I'm gonna get a T shirt with the initials NGNB (nice guy no balls). Probably get more interest than what I'm getting now. Is there not one girl that likes a nice guy? Well there's someone in my office who seems responsive to my overtures. Gotta tread carefully there though.

Glad your dates went well. So here's a question. Besides the physical attraction, what did you see in your date that made you want more?

Sorry that didn't go well. Did you ask if everything was ok? Or, how did you respond to her supposed boredom, with the finger tapping? To me, that's rude-would you have wanted to see her again anyway?

My second meeting didn't happen either. We chatted but I think he forgot that we had set tentative plans for lunch. I was ok with that.

I guess the first thing I noticed about my date was that he wasn't nervous at all, or at least didn't show it. The conversation was nice, he's a good listener. He talked a fair amount and asked thoughtful questions. He has a good family relationship and seems to do a lot with his nieces and nephews, as he has no kids either. He coaches junior high school basketball but has a pretty busy job by day, & does a pretty tough work out regimine. Just seems like a very family oriented, intelligent and active guy. He doesn't date much. I was the first date he'd been on in over a year he said. Just a very nice group of qualities I saw in him, that makes me want to learn what else there is. He was fairly attractive at first, but the more we talked, I was more attracted to him. We spent 2 hrs together.

So we've continued texting. Probably won't see each other again until after Christmas, but I'm genuinely excited to know more about him.
