Now why would he be interested in an ongoing relationship when he got what he asked for the first time you were together?

Both are adults and you can certainly do what you want to but you really shouldn't be surprised at the outcome.

I think people are more likely to find love or at least a better relationship when older. Frankly, I don't think people in their 20s or even early 30s know enough about themselves. It could be a lack of introspection or, more likely, the lack of life experiences, which teach us a lot about ourselves.

As I aged . . . and went through two years of therapy . . . I learned that the qualities in a woman that I thought would make happy didn't turn out that way. I also think that our communication skills improve with age, and those skills are so necessary to maintain a quality relationship.

Mag, you are still so young. You will find happiness.

Yes, BUTT I mean but Honestly? It was going through the motion of dating via a dating site and seeing all these fake people with 10 year "younger" photos on-line once I met them off course, finding out a girlfriend "friend" wrote their profile, having guys tell me they are sooo good in bed I won't want anyone else? WT? Milf .

That made me realise exactly who I was and what I wanted. That coupled with getting over having to walk out of my Marriage and stand tall again.

It was then that my eyes were open. I agree with Effy, with age comes something I don't know what it is but you respect yourself and others more and what you are after in life and how to obtain it but more so how to nurture it, keep it alive and what real love is actually about, the good, the bad and the ugly.

D and I have had two very small spats in nearly 5 years and that's it. We hug each other every morning, kiss each other goodbye hold each other and smile, laugh a lot, share duties, remember when it's been a bit long due to work commitments etc etc .. It's just different than say when I was in my 30's or even early 40's

I was 44 when I really worked it all out.

A lot of people have stayed together after sleeping together on the first date. They've continued on to 2nd, 3rd and got to know the person and whalla ....

In this instance Rob not sure if you read the entire thread but the "guy" already had a girlfriend why does that not surprise me

Well CW me and Donna, are the same way we kiss each other when she leaves for work. When she gets home with a hug as well. When we are walking in the mall or just down the side walk.We will hold hands it's just something we do with each other. When we go to the movies we will hold hands. Some may thing is corny but hey we love each other we tell each other a lot. This just show me and Donna we are still into each other forever.

Cw-I would like this thread closed again. A certain poster is making me feel uncomfortable. Thank you!

                Hey Mag,

Hope you are doing well, always consider the source, babe. How much longer before you move?

The move was good. People are definitely friendlier here, and people want to initiate hanging out. So, my week is going to be busy. I would like this thread closed again or at least not participate in the discussion anymore. I don't want this memory interfering with my new life. I want to attract a partner that's loyal, available, supportive and kind.
