There are nice men. Not perfect - there aren't a lot of angels walking around, but nice men you could be happy with. When you get out of this relationship look for men you like - not ones you lust after. Men you enjoy spending time with. Look for the ones who actually make an effort to do things for other people.

I know some - and certainly they are flawed in some way - but they still would (or did) make fine partners. Sadly, most were snapped up by manipulative self-centred women.

It may not be coincidence. I think nice people are less likely to make a first move in a relationship - they are worried about offending, or feel inadequate. Eventually someone less nice recognises their value and picks them up. The "nice" person is then too nice to leave, no matter how they are treated.

At this point, though, I don't believe there's a "normal" man out there. It's impossible. I haven't met a single "normal" man even as a friend. Another man would have yet another flaw I'll have trouble with. There are hardly any "normal" men out there in our days due to how our society is and how they've been raised. It's only about how "less bothering" their weirdness is going to be. I am 100% convinced.

I am 25 but I do feel emotionally worn out after 3 serious relationships. With each one I walk away from I want to give even less to the next one. .

You're 25 you still have time to meet someone special. Everyone who is single has had every previous relationship fail. As long as you learn from the previous ones the next will be better. I can't promise a happy ever after but I can promise a slightly more better. If you leave there will be lows and the next year may be emotionally low. But slowly the sun will come from behind the clouds and you will know it yourself eventually. Usually I am a supporter of the porn debade on this forum but in this case your man is a lost cause. He appears to be addicted. Post your deal breakers on the deal breaker thread and read the others. You soon to be ex has some of the deal breaker traits. My mother has got married for the third time at 60 if she can do it you can. Don't wake up at 35 and leave then. 25 to 35 are probably the best years of your life. Goodness knows at 34 I would love to be taking out a kind, giving 25yo.

If or when I leave my current one I know that I will have less will to give more to the next one. I keep this for as long as it goes or for as long as I feel I can give. Of course this is not as good as it gets, it's far from it. But I just cannot be bothered about finding the right man all the time, I want to focus on what I am going to do with my life, as a person, instead of dating and looking for "the one". Having a family is not my priority at the moment. Certainly, I could leave this one too, blame him for having been who he was, and start over again. But I don't have the energy for another "start over again" or "let's deal with THIS problem now".

I'm very mentally tired at the moment and my nicotine level must be sky high, so my posts aren't exactly 100% rational.

You don't have the energy for anything new 'cos you're in something old. Leave the past behind get your head straight and in a good place. Worry about someone new in a year. I am only now properly over my last big relationship that ended 2 and a bit years ago. I am a better person and the future is bright but there were many dark days.

I left my ex when I was 30, after 6 unhappy years. I'm now 33 and in my first relationship since I left. That's almost a decade! But I can honestly say that I'm so glad I did it and I'm happier than ever. I spent 3 years focusing on my career, traveling, boxing, and loving myself. I've been to three foreign countries, all over the US, made great friends, reconnected with family, grew my business and met the love of my life.

You are so young and you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I just don't get why you would stay.
