first of all if you are going to quote my posts try quoting the whole paragraph!

    this is the whole paragraph:

    Policy Implications
Exposure to material that contains sexist or violent depictions can promote undesirable attitudes and behaviors. Increased censorship, however, will not be effective in addressing the problems, for three reasons. Firstly, censorship is most often directed toward only the most sexually explicit material, leaving the much more problematic sexist and violent content of R-rated material untouched. Secondly, censorship would not end sexual exploitation or violence. The roots of those behaviors are far deeper in the culture. Sexist, sexually explicit material is more a symptom than a cause of female subordination and sexual violence. Finally, restrictions beyond the existing obscenity laws and protection for minors would create numerous other problems in a free, democratic society. Few sexual scientists judge the evidence as warranting additional restrictions.

now what do you find so difficult? it states that porn does not cause violent behavour, IT STATES THAT NORMAL R RATED MOVIES WITH VIOLENT SCENES ARE THE MOVIES THAT ARE LIKELY TO AFFECT PEOPLE! not porn you idiot!

also you have already stated that you are very religous! this shows in your responses, the fact that you think that problems can be resloved so easily! your attitude to sex in general shows that you are blinded by religion, you even said that thinking about having sex with someone else was wrong.

you like to imply things, you like to generalize and you like to make assumptions!

i can see right through you!

      indeed. with striking clarity.

      and more assumptions:

"now what do you find so difficult?"

hotdogg - i didn't say anything was difficult. i'm asking you a "yes" or "no" question. if you want to elaborate, fine, i'm not trying to interrogate or trap you. i just want to know if you agree with the statement underlined (a didn't pull it out of context to try to change its meaning - having the whole paragraph is fine, doesn't change it at all):

      hotdogg. please...

do you agree with the underlined statement?

ps - "also you have already stated that you are very religous! this shows in your responses, the fact that you think that problems can be resloved so easily!"

you read that i told someone else i was religious - you would have no idea had i not said it. i still challenge you to find one time - just one - that i used religion in our debate about porn.

"your attitude to sex in general shows that you are blinded by religion, you even said that thinking about having sex with someone else was wrong."

first, you have no idea what my attitude about sex is - i've never talked about that. all we've talked about is porn. i never said that thinking about having sex with someone else is wrong. i said it wasn't very different from masturbating to porn. you're correctly assuming i think it's wrong - but did i ever mention religion as a basis for that belief?

        live and let die

        Hot Dog & anyone else,

I contacted William specifically because he did not use religion as a basis for his beliefs about pornography. Like he said, If his wife was not bothered by it, he would probably still be sitting at his desk browsing images of catholic schoolgirls rather than sitting here debating with you & everyone else about the destructiveness of pornography in our relationships and lives. Therefore, It seems to me that it wasn't God, Jesus or St. Ronald McDonald that pushed him outside of the porn box...

It was for the love of his wife and for the progression of himself as a human being.

You cannot honestly tell me that, in another life, if you had a choice between:

        A) A husband who had absolutely no interest, desire or phantasies for anyone but YOU. You are all he wants, needs and pursues sexually, emotionally and spiritually. You are it, and he is perfectly satisfied with that. Matter fact, knowing this turns him on. It’s erotic, and deeply, lustfully intimate because you are the only one with the ability to arouse him. He turns to you - and you fulfill him graciously & abundantly just as he does for you. You both pride yourselves in this world of yours, which you created, and you know noone but you two will ever enter because neither of you fu**ing want them to.

        or

        B) A husband who can most likely get his rocks off to anything and anyone. Whether it is you, your neighbor, the 30% plastic on girl TV, the friend of your teenage daughter. I mean, You are the woman he "loves" but, sexually, anything does it for him. You two watch porn together to "spice" up your sex life. You have to watch OTHER people screw because you two alone are just booooring sometimes & it doesn’t hack it. Pity. Your husband tells you that "Its a man thing, Men are programmed to spread their seed." What a cop out. And you think to yourself "Well in that case, Most women should have 15 babies by the time they are 30, because we too, are programmed to produce." But you don't say it out loud because you know that if you gave him the choice of Your Love or Porn... You'd catch him with a Hustler in the bathroom and a sudden realization would materialize: A random *** has more power over him than does his love for YOU.

Of course you'd choose A, it's a turn on to know your both eachothers' sex gods. Nearly everyone would. Perhaps the examples I gave are black and white... But even if there was a grey area in between them, most people would still chose the mentally and physically faithful relationship. And even though this world makes it hard for people, it is still very possible and highly rewarding.

Fortunately, you are not offended by your husbands desire of other women. Hey, To each their own. But, I highly doubt that you like it, that his desire for porn stars makes you feel good about yourself. I mean, That's ridiculous. At best, you are apathetic about the situation. But, many other individuals here want more than that out of their partners.

Honestly, what is the big difference between cheating by getting off to a "real live person in person" and jerking off to a real-live-person-on-the-internet? The only difference is touch - he sure as hell is thinking about the person, and thinking in depth, he is being aroused to the point of orgasm... he is getting off to another woman.

Buuut, since he's not TOUCHING the other person, it's okay. Right?....

Hell no! Come on! The mental aspect of a relationship is the MOST important. Mental faithfulness is just as relevant as physical faithfulness. If you're sitting there getting turned on by doing something sexual with someone other than the one you’re supposedly committed to, you're being unfaithful - You're cheating on him/her inside your head and you like it - it gets you off. Everything is there, except the touch. I'm sorry, but that's not love.

These are so many petty illusions and pinholes in love, self created "cracks in the system" so that you can do anything you please without deeming it questionable and having to grow. So many poor excuses to dismiss lack of self control and sugarcoat the abundance of perverse selfishness, laziness, and the inability to think outside the box.

To end it off, I'd like to add another instance which is just entirely insane but accepted in this world:

A married/committed man can go to a strip club and have a completely naked woman dry hump him until he orgasms and it's not considered cheating. BUT, if he did that outside of a strip club, it would be considered infidelity and your marriage would be over.

        WHAT?! That makes no sense.
For lack of a better word, that's just retarded.

This is just one of the many completely hypocritical ways of thinking that people have let this world imbed into their brains. I really just wish people would wake up and think for themselves, push the god ****ed envelope and evolve.

          LOL!

You are very unrealistic! people still find other people attractive regardless of whether they are in a relationship.

also you want to get your facts right! men are not the only ones that look at porn (this is a point that gets overlooked constantly) i do not hear men crying about the fact their wife likes porn! i watch porn i like it, i am not sexually uptight! my husband has no problem with me watching porn.

also i have never said that we use porn to spice up our sex life! so get it right! we both are very sexual we use porn for masterbation only, like when we are not their for each other.

also you understand very little about porn use! you do not use it because you want someone else, you do not give a dame what the porn stars look like as long has they are not replusive, you just want to view a sexual act, (PLAIN AND SIMPLE).

Also not every woman is insecure about themselves, i am very attractive, i have 34d real breasts and i wear a american size 4 dress, my husband worships the ground i walk on! we have been together nearly ten years and we still have a very loving relationship.

also who are you to dictate what love is!

you hate porn! fine, why do you feel the need to try and make other people hate it?

they can not program themselves to just think about 1 women it is not natural. you are a fool if you believe that when it comes to sexual fantasies he only thinks of you and you alone

men who claim different are out and out liars.

Oh, I don't have a problem with thinking others are "good looking". But, I do have a problem with perverting it. Everyone here who is all about the "Men cant help it, They are programmed" attitude, makes it sound as if they are talking about Puppies rather than Men. And it's pathetic that men accept it. It's the same as playing stuupid out of laziness... "Trisha, fix the tv" --- "I would but I can't cause I don't know how." Bullsh*t.

Yes, I know women look at porn too. But, this board is typically by women about men. And actually there are many men (though, not nearly as much as women) who do have problems with their girlfriends or wives fantasizing about other guys.

Listen to yourself: "i have 34d real breasts and i wear a american size 4 dress"

That makes you attractive? Sorry, But I've definatelty seen many, many women with large breasts and thin bodies that are incredibly UNattractive. But, I guess youre going by porn standards, you know, As long as youre thin with a big chest... you're doable. Good for you.

I consider myself attractive as well, but that has nothing to do with me not wanting porn in my relationship. I'm also an incredibly sexual being... which also has nothing to do with me not wanting porn in my life. Not watching porn does not mean your are "uptight" sexually... I'd just rather be content with my own rather than relying on strangers for a get up. And I'd rather my boyfriend, girlfriend or husband feel the same.

Its really not that VAST STRETCH OF IMAGINATION that many of you here think it is. It's very possible.

                Wow.

And if you want to talk about people being programmed:

You, me, and everybody have been PROGRAMMED since the day we started preschool. And it worked, for the most part. We were programmed to use our untensils a certain way, speak a certain way, sleep at certain hours, to shave our legs, to trim our hair, to clip our nails, to use "proper" etiquitte, etc. & on and on which is a huge jump from our primitive ways... So, don't go jumping the gun before you think about it a little bit.

there it is, boys & girls.

there's the lie i've been talking about - the one so many women have swallowed. it's kind of like, "well i didn't mean to hit you, honey - i can't help it. you just make me lose control."

                  what a joke.

                  talk about getting a life...

                  rise above the mediocrity, buddy.

                  absolute joke.

which means you think that i should feel insecure because he looks at other attractive women!

i stated that i have notihng to worry about because i am very attractive ( which includes my face) i have a perfect figure which is real, so i am not going to get up set because he looks at porn! oh and i look at guys too, so what is the difference, i would be a hypocrite if i told him he could not view porn because i look too.

ever heard of the saying look but don't touch! it works! their is also a thing called trust in a relationship we trust each other completely so i do not need to worry, neither does my hubby.

I see you think it is ok to generalize about why men watch porn.

NEWS FLASH this forum is called womens health, so were did you get the idea that is was just for women talking about men?

good luck finding a man who will never ever dare look at porn i doubt you will find one. unless he is some sort of jesus nut or a freak. By the way will your future partner be banned from the beach? heaven forbid if he sees another womens t*** or ***.
