Not saying this is you, but sometimes people say they are "open & honest" when what they really are is "blunt & insensitive."

You may have a great point there. I think I need to do some soul searching.

There is a tendency sometimes for a relationship to become a sort of contest where each person tries to score points off of mistakes made by the other. "you forgot to take out the trash", "you bought that stupid car", etc. It is as if by pointing out failings in the other person we somehow minimize our own. My wife and I were in this mode for a while, so I know how it can happen.

I'm not saying you and he are doing this - all I know about you is a few paragraphs of text - no where nearly enough to get a picture of what a person is like.

In case that is happening, try just ignoring the small stuff. Not keeping in the back of your mind, but really ignoring /forgiving it as minor foibles from the person you love.

There is all the difference in the world between coming home to someone who says "you forgot to get milk on your way home", and someone who says "I love you" when they are done kissing you. Then you can ask if they can pick up some milk.

Once again, great advice. Ironically, I just got off the phone with him and asked if he was not too tired to stop off to pick up milk. And you are right, I do keep things in the back of my head and bring it all up in current arguments. This is a great forum, you are really helping me.

Have i read the same post as you guys or what? It would bother my brain that to even think of saying daughter during sex he then goes on like he didnt say it smh. Someone on here said it may be a brain glitch, slip of the tougne etc. ok i can buy that but wth is he looking at insestual porn? and why is it ok to make her appologise. He should be appologising for letting mess like that creep up in his mind and fantasise about it by looking up narsty porn. i dont mimd porn at all but how deep is he going into it is what im thinking. Dont go on about it but if it happens again id would demand an explanation. and certainly dont appologise because its the exact same way everyone including me would react if your honest.

if he is looking at incest porn... that says a lot. but like everyone says it could be a misfire so instead of confronting him on the word slip I would confront him on these kinds of porn hes watching..
