Holy moly. I only nosed in to this thread to see why it had resurfaced after a few years. I guess with school and my own issues, I totally missed ALL of this. Well, I think I'm caught up now. Sounds like you've gone through a very stressful few years KM. I'm glad things are finally starting to look up. Here's to a new life and a new and happier you!! -
thanks atskitty, I thought that was really odd too! Apparently he thought he could use the shelving in his storage unit. I know I'll never see those items returned, but he did bring back my meat smoker and my bicycle. I cared about the bike the most.
The locks have been changed and he has officially moved out. The court date is July 10, so I'm just hanging tight until then. Hopefully now that we're no longer under the same roof, the rest of the time left before the final hearing will go smoothly. It actually feels really nice to have my own home again. I think I mentioned previously that I bought a new bed in celebration.. it feels good to have something fresh. I also deep scrubbed the house as a sort of cleansing. It feels good. I have my haven back and I'm starting to feel like more of myself. No longer do I walk in the door and feel a sense of dread or resentment. I don't have to hear the criticisms anymore, even if he's still criticizing me to others. I don't care!
I also just landed what seems to be a dream job at a new company! Things are really looking up!
BD - no worries! I know you've been busy! Glad to see you back, though!
.It's been an interesting few months, that's for sure. This was a long, drawn out process.. however, the divorce itself has been moving along relatively quickly. I hope you are doing well, BD!
