      Tea Tree Oil

      Hi Ladies

I suffered from BV for about 2 years until I found this thread. I have read many post where some ladies were afraid of using tea tree oil. I have been using tea tree oil and havent had any problems. I have been BV free for about three months now. it is very important to DILUTE tea tree oil before using it but this method does work. I encourage anyone suffering from BV to try this method.

I am also take fem dophilus, folic acid and a multivitamin.

        frustrated

i have suffered with mild, but chronic, BV for over a year.

i feel so defeated, disgusting and ugly. NOTHING works. nothing.

certain things give me relief but absolutely nothing has made it completely go away. a friend of a friend recommended yin-wash, which i am picking up tomorrow. lately i have been doing a hydrogen peroxide douche in the morning and probiotic/yogurt inserts at night. helps with the itching and odor, but the infection is still there.

i am SO over western medicine at this point. the drugs the doctor has given me have done NOTHING but make it worse and they don't seem to have the foggiest clue where it comes from or how to deal with it. the wide range of what works and doesn't work in terms of DIY remedies is daunting and frustrating as well. How many things do i have to shove in my vagina before i can be free of this zombie infection???

I am new to this site but I just HAD to register and post. I suffer from SEVERE chronic bv. I am in the doctors if not every 2 weeks, atleast once a month for the last year. I've taken everything from the antibiotic pills to the gels. The ONLY time I had any success with antibiotics is when my GYN treated me AND my fiance and I was free for 4 months, then it came back with a vengance!!! 2 weeks ago I was once again given Metro Gel to use for 5 days, got my menstural the day after I finished my 5days of metro gel and once my menstural was over BOOM had it again ALONG with a UTI. So as of now, I let the infection go for a few days and researched my *** off. What I did THIS time was this: I douched with 2oz of peroxide/2oz of distilled water the first morning, I'm using the rest of the metro gel at night (should be about 5nights left over from the last occurance), I'm taking 1 acidophilus pill with dinner, and my fantastic UTI meds morning and night. I truely believe I'm alergic to my fiances sperm, so I'm going to douche with the peroxide and water after sex to see if that keeps the BV away. IF NOT, well then I'm sure I'll be on to the next remedy. Ive also read about the acid diet, and all the probiotics. I know my pH is way off (obviously) but I link my bv to sex with my fiance bcuz before him I had it once in awhile but the antibiotics always cleared it up no prob.

This is a HORRIBLE disease we live with. I think drs cant come up with a cure because everybody is different, every case is different, everyones flare ups are caused by different stuff, so really its to each their own. I ABSOLUTELY do recommend anyone in a relationship having their partner treated only from my experience with the success.

Gatorgal, I am 18 and have had bv for 5 long years. It has never come and gone and is always there. It only got much worse after I started having sex. Anyway, I am on day 2 of your treatment. Will keep you updated.

Are your papsmears showing that you have BV over and over? Or is it more like you had it before and you think its just still there? If its not showing up on the papsmears then its not likely its going to be BV and you probably have another condition, but if its still showing BV after all this time you could have an underlying condition causing it or you could keep getting reinfected.

Are you noticing it happens around your cycles? possible something with your hormones. What about the way you wipe down there? Are you on birth control? Birth control pills will increase your chances of yeast infections. Is it possible your disturbing the ph balance to much with the consistent use of drugs? Do you notice pain with sex? ever consider vulvodynia or another condition, I don' recall BV hurting with sex when I had it.

Okay, here's a question no one has asked..

I am now on day 3 of your treatment. I do not yet know if it has been helping because when I check for discharge in the morning, I have no way of knowing if the white substance is the liquid acidophilus from the night before or if it is bv discharge.

All that aside, I have an important question: Will this treatment work if your bv has spread to your uterus and fallopian tubes?

I have had this infection for 5 years, and in that time, it has spread to my uterus, rendering me infertile. (says my doctor) So I'm wondering, could this treatment really heal me completely? How could I get the infection out of my uterus? We all know antibiotics do NOTTTT work. I do know the infertility is irreversible, so no one has to tell me that.

Talulah if your BV has spread then you have Pelvic Inflammatory Disease and the only thing they have for it are the antibiotics usual its a combo drug treatment of Ceftriaxone plus doxycycline with or without metronidazole. So have you tried the triple or double antibiotics used for PID? If you havent give it a go that is standard treatment unsure if your doctor was not treating your PID properly or you tried it and it didnt work. But if your PID is so bad there is nothing for it left no antibotics usual there is no other treatment for you and in that case the hysterectomy is good, so that the disease doesn't hurt your body any further. I would see a specialist in PID or in the area, but its a pretty irreversible disease so if the antibiotics don't work thats the end of that rope. You could always adopt though so keep your chin up! Catching and killing BV or an STD early is always key to not getting PID, I'm so sorry that happen to you.
