    Tilting Pelvis?

    PJ:

I am trying to picture the position that you are describing. Do you mean sitting towards the very front of the toilet seat and leaning way, way back?

I have always been a dribbler no matter what position I am in. Always been envious of those women who can urinate with a single, steady stream right into the toilet. For me, it always goes everywhere. In fact, I have never been a 'hoverer' over the toilet because I just make too big of a mess. But maybe I'll try your position and see if it makes a difference. Thanks.

I too suffer from frequent utis. I was having the same problem with antibiotics causing yeast infections then I went to the drugstore and found these pills called yeast guards. they are in the same section as monastat and stuff like that. i have been taking one a day and I haven't had a yeast infection in over a year even though i have been on antibiotics for utis.

No sit like normal or a bit toward the back. Sit up very straight and lean forward a bit picking up your bottom a little. It will put your baldder and urinary tract more in a straight line. You will be more sitting on your thighs than your bottom. Spread your legs a bit more as well. It helps your bladder empty completely.

          Frequent uti's

I am feeling a uti coming on right now. I too suffer from frequent uti's and feel the same frustration as everyone here. They cause me to miss school/work etc because I have to go make an appt to get antibiotics and am in so much pain. Like someone else said, I wish I just could have a supply of the antibiotics to take whenever I feel one coming on so I dont have to deal with the full blown procedure.
Maybe I will try the liver tincture that someone mentioned...
Also, the ingredients of that are:
Milk Thistle seed, Oregon Grape root, Fennel seed, Fringe tree bark, Dandelion root, Garlic bulb, Black Walnut hull, Gentian root, Ginger root, wormwood leaf, extracted and preserved in 47.5% U.S.P. grade grain alcohol, distilled water.

Id rather find a natural cure than have to keep popping pills that may eventually stop working. Oh the joys of being a woman. Men really have no idea.

UTI's are unfortunately a part of every woman’s life. At one time or another, we all suffer from them, some women more than others. There are a lot of factors that can lead to these infections. The easiest way to treat them is to try and avoid them from happening in the first place. I recently started using a product called "Lavada", which is an all natural alternative to some the prescriptions out there. Lavada's ingredients promote the prevention of infection and assists in the cleansing of the urinary tract, the cervix and the vaginal walls. This leads to a healthier gynecological system that is satisfying for both you and your partner

Good luck, give it a shot! It worked for me!

Just as an update, it has now been a little over a year since my last UTI. Cotton panties only and I now always face backwards on the toilet when I have to urinate. That felt really strange at first but I can't argue with the results. Now, I have been doing it for so long, that I don't even really think about it any more.

i'm eighteen, and live with my parents. they don't know that i'm sexually active. or atleast that's what i think. as a result i have absolutely NO one to share this with. for the past two years since the first time i had sex i've been dealing with it. when i was really young, dehydrated, caffeine addict, basically studying for finals, i got it once and my doctor told me to take - zo - 200mg,
it worked wonders because in no time the pain went, the only thing is that i think i'm immune to it's effect by now. i wake up at odd hours to pee and can't get sleep after because of the pain.

Sorry to hear that sharmin. You need to see your doctor again because there are several different medications that he can prescribe that may be more effective than others.

One thing that might help is to drink more liquids before you go to bed. It used to be most painful for me in the evening and early mornings because my urine was probably more concentrated and acidic. By drinking more fluids, you dilute it out and hopefully make it less painful. Of course the downside is that you may be making a few more trips to the bathroom! That is my biggest problem right now. I no longer have UTIs but must have an extremely small bladder as I wake up multiple times during the night having to pee.

                    Extra help!

                    Hi Everyone,
I feel so very sad and yet comforted to hear that there are so many other women have suffered the same as I have! I am 31 now and have had these persistent, severe, re-occuring UTI problems since I was 15.
I have heard it all, tried it all, but here is something that my family doctor only told me in the past year that WORKS!
If you are like me, you have had these SO many times and for so long you can feel a twitch or funny feeling that something might be on the rise before it actually becomes the full blown UTI.
If so, you can actually nip it early by swallowing 2 ASPIRIN (or other ASA product) at the earliest sign. Sometimes it is an emergency and if you know that you will be away from medical help, try this. It might also work for you!
My doctor explained that there is something in the ASA that acts as a cleanser. It WON'T work if you are in full-out UTI mode, then you need antibiotics for sure.
I also have a friend who had a scope (camera on a cord) inserted through her urinary track after years of the same suffering and they determined that her frequent UTI's were due to her narrow pipes. She had a procedures done to widen her urinary tract and she swears that it made all the difference for her (she also did say that the scope procedure was very painful so it may not be for everyone).

Like I said, I have been through all of what you ladies' have mentioned and it SUCKS. I hope some of my advice helps even one person out there!
                    Take care of yourselves!

hi Girls i also had that problem once. If me and my husband keep sex continuously i may get uti two days after we had sex. Even though i peed before and after sex and consumed cranberry juice nothing paid. finally once my mom told me to rub coconut oil around vagina after having sex. wash with soap and apply a tsp of coconut oil then you continue your sleep or ur work. from that onwards regularly i practised my moms advise on that day onwards i didnt get uti.......... it definitely pay. coconut oil is a natural heeling and antiseptic agent. so anybody suffering in uti may try once.
