I am 13, and I am goign through the same thing. I have had brown discharge for about a week. It is quite disgusting, but people have told me it is just the old blood, and that I will get my period in a couplle of days to a week.

Its Normal =)
I am 17 and I am going through that exact same situation right now & it is no picnic. I have had this brown discharge with blood in it somtimes, for about a week and a half now. I doubt im pregnant only because this all occured before my boyfriend and I had sex. Though im still quite confused I talked to my aunty who was very reassuring telling me that its part of being a girl, my body is cleaning itself out. Shes 50 so she knows her stuff so im quite happy with her advice...she basically told me to take a clear warm bath and let the water sooth your body and soak in..giving you a nice gentle cleansing. She also reccomends Douching but maybe not..I do believe I would stick with the bath for now and just take this all as it comes. I am experiancing no tummy aches
(HOORAY!)
but just this silly non-smelling discharge..Even though we seem to have a bazillion things going on with our bodies i Love being a woman

Same Thing
I'm going through the same thing. I had an SD that was treatable. There's nothing growing anymore and my bf and I aren't having sex any more to be on the safe side from me getting pregant. (Not financially anyway) It happens way before my period is due and all the time maybe not all the time. It doesn't smell that bad unless you actally smell it. Is that normal? Should I be really concered. I'm 34 by the way.Comment

I think it was around 2 months ago that I experienced dark brown discharge. I had it for about 3 weeks. Nothing heavy, just simple spotting. And then it stopped. Now I am having the same thing except this time it came 3 days before my period. I don't believe its anything serious. I just think that its a sign of old blood. I am on birth control so maybe that could be affecting it. I'm not completely sure. When I went to the doctor yesterday,
(very professional doctor) I asked her what it could be and she said don't worry its normal. Another thing I was concerned about was the burning sensations I had when I went to the bathroom. Again, it could have just been a urinary tract infection. It lasted for a week but it never happened again. I think many of these situations happen for me because my immune system is very low and its very easy for me get infections. So I'm trying to build it up. Other than that, my doctor said my blood test results were very clean and I have nothing to be worried about.
