BV/Yeast Infections
I too have been suffering with bv and yeast. I want to say it started when I was diagnosed with Herpes in 2001. Since then I have a problems with bv and yeast. I wonder if having herpes have anything to do with it. I dont have outbreaks. It is also affecting my relationship with my boyfriend for 4yrs. He dont want to have sex with me because Im always dealing with either a yeast infection for bv. So we just stopped having sex all together. I notice if we have sex and he ejaculate inside me then about 2 days or maybe a week later I have bv or a yeast infection. When he pull out I dont get them as often. So is it him?? Is it the act of sexual intercourse. When I'm not having sex I get bv and yeast less frequently. So I do think the act of sex plays a role. And I think if you have a very wet vagina that also contributes to all the moisture. My vagina is very moist all the time everyday. Not sure what to do. The metro gel clears it up but it comes right back. Im so tired of it not sure what else to do. Please Help somebody anybody. I need help. The doctor know nothing.Comment

I tried the VH essentials from CVS most recently, and it really cleared up the discharge over the 6 days that i used it. guess what, 2 days later, there it is again.
i suppose i could just use those vh essentials every day, but that could get pretty expensive! $24 for a 6 pack
just wanted to put it out therer though in case you were thinking of trying it.Comment

hi everyone, i read all your story, and i wonder why no one get a same treatment like i do?
i've got yeast "candida" for 3 month now, the last time i see the doctor she give me theraphy called Diathermy, plus injection i a day for 10 days, it's because my yeast infection it's already spread too deep, that's why the yeast always comeback and my low imunity just makin me worst.
i'm still in treatment, i hope i got betterComment

Suffering for 7 years +
I have been suffering from BV for more than 7 years, & possibly longer.
I've taken Metronidazole pills & MetroGel, so many times that doctor most times gives me numerous refills. My husband has taken it too & yet, nothing works. I've done it all, yogurt, eliminated soaps & bodywashes, went from cotton underwear to basically no underwear.
I finished my usual round on Metronidazole last Monday, & it was back by that Thursday. I have been in tears realizing that I may have to spend the rest of my life like this. This affects my marriage (hubby says that he does not mind but I do), I've lost jobs from constantly leaving early due to the odor.
I don't know what to do. I have an appointment today for a culture because after 4 days of Metronidazole, it's just not working.Comment

Have you tried any of the alternative remedies mentioned in this thread? I know it's an epic, but it's really worth reading if you haven't. It took me days to get through the whole thing!

I have not tried any of the remedies on the board yet. (I just found it yesterday & I'm sorta afraid.)
I've always had a "never put there what you would not put in your eyes" mentality.
Anyway, another failed trip to the doc. I was told to finish the Metronidazole & he added in Diflucan just in case. They did a culture & I'll have the results on Monday.Comment
