    bacterial vaginosis freedom

Has anyone bought and tried this e-book called "bacterial vaginosis freedom" by Elena Peterson? I can't find any reviews about this and therefore don't want to waste my money on a scam. All I seem to find are website selling the book... Just wanted to hear is anyone has had experience with this...

Hello, new to the forum. I came across this thread when Googling Represh Pro B.

I have had weird smelling discharge in copious amounts for quite some time now. Aside from the smell and quantity, I have had no other symptoms so I just figured it was normal. The texture is quite mucousy at times, and I would describe the smell as cheesy, or sometimes like sour cream.

Well I no longer think this is normal. It wasn't always like this (I don't even really remember when it started, it's been that long), and the more I research, the more I think I have vaginosis. The thing that is throwing me is that when I went for my last pap, the NP didn't say anything about it - only that she noticed how mucousy it was. But I know this isn't right, I want it to stop!! I want my vag back!

I basically just wanted to know if my symptoms are the same as anyone else's, and what you ladies think about going ahead and trying the Represh/acidophillous combo I read about a few pages back?

Can you also tell me, is this a regimen I will have to follow forever?

      Thanks very much. ))

If the discharge is thick and 'cheesy', that sounds more like thrush/yeast infection (depending on where you're from! ) to me. I get both BV and thrush/yeast infection, and it took me a long time to tell them apart. The BV discharge isn't so thick/cottage cheesy looking, and it also smells much stronger - quite a nasty unpleasant smell.

With bacterial vaginosis the discharge is watery whereas with yeast infecion it's clotty. With BV the colour of the discharge is yellowy or greenish, with thursh white. And the smell with BV is fishy and very strong. Normally there's no smell change with yeast infection, if there is it's more...it's just the 'normal' semll but stronger or a bit more 'sour', but it's not as unpleasant and strong as with BV.

I have had BV for the 2nd time now. First time, I was pregnant and it didn't fully go away. After i had my son, I suffered from it for 2 yearson stop.It went away on its own but now it's back. It's been 3 months now. Nothing has worked so far. My new approach to this is hydrgen peroxide douches 2 times a day (half hydrogen peroxide, half filtered water). The douches have kept the smell at bay and helps get rid of some of the nasty discharge.I am also taking probiotics, one that i was recommended to me because of its high concentration not only of acidophilus in it, but of other good bacteria that is naturally found in a healthy vagina. It's called Ultimate Flora Vaginal Support. I am drinking alot of water as well. I will keep you guys posted on my results!

Really? Is it possible to have had one for such a long period of time with no other symptoms? I'm talking years here. There's never been any itching, discomfort or pain, etc. Just the abnormal discharge. It isn't cheesy in texture, just the smell. The texture is really mucousy, but not thick or cottage cheese like.

I'm shocked that my NP wouldn't have diagnosed it. :/

To be honest I'd be happy to know it was either thrush or BV, because I sure as don't want this to be normal!

Hm yes, this does sound more like me. Again, is it possible to have had one for so long with no other symptoms??

I feel so stupid for not knowing, wow.

What do you gals recommend for treatment?

Well as far as I know the treatment is antibiotics.
Just go and get tested, maybe it's completely something else all together.

Lots of suggestions in this thread for treatments for BV. You can try altering the PH by using something like RePHresh, if you don't want to rush down the antibiotics route. Probably worth getting tested though, so you know what you're treating.
