I was NOT ready at a younger age, although I thought I was (and only realized looking back how unprepared I really was).

I don't think there's any reason to rush losing your virginity, but there's also no reason to wait if you know you're ready to handle the consequences. I think it's better with someone you trust and love already, and clearly it's better still if you aren't worried about pregnancy, so of course I don't advocate sex at 15 just because of the risks involved in teen pregnancies... but I can't tell you if 16, 18, 20... is the "right" age for you.

My first post, thought I might as well start at the start lol.


I was 16 he was 20 and my first bf. It hurt a little but it was actually more uncomfortable. I have no regrets im happy I got it over with, I think you can think about it too much but you should definatly not do it before you are ready, nomatter what age you end up at. I was not pressured but it wasnt great, just dont think we matched, I remember thinking "thats it? Is that what all the fuss is about?" It has improved greatly since.

Don't rush, make it someone who is freind as well as lover, be comfotable, relaxed and happy. Age is just a number! X
