And this doesn't happen in every day life? Seriously any college campus, HELL high schoolers are doing this now, this activity happens every night. Hell this happens in every soap opera, sitcom, and drama on television. Not just porn.

Also some FYI, in the adult industry there are no strangers, just coworkers. By stating that you are stating the fictional aspects of the industry, and the FANTASY situations, not what is reality.

porn is not sex anymore than a grocery store is food. it's just a mechanism that sells sex - images, depictions.

are you wanting me to believe that if the porn industry disappeared, then there would be no sex in the world?

Yes, porn addiction hurts relationships. So does alcohol addiction. And internet addiction. And video game addiction. And work addiction. And _____ addiction. That doesn't make these things inherently evil.

Addiction and addictive personalities are toxic to any interpersonal relationship, regardless of the object or activity of choice. Many people watch porn and drink alcohol and work without it negatively effecting
the rest of their lives. But these stories aren't as sensational, and it's so much more interesting to reference that one post you read from a woman whose husband's addiction to porn is ruining their relationship, as opposed to the millions of people who watch/read/look at porn without negative repercussions.

And sure, there is a small percentage of people who are going to take sex advice from some misleading porn. These are the same type of people who think imitating Jackass stunts is a great idea. But these people are, by no stretch of the imagination, in the majority. Most people, even those who watch porn, are just like you and I, and understand that what happens on tv is fictional, and may not be something they want to try in real life, rather it be having sex with the pizza boy or having a high speed chase through New York City. But, again, us boring people, who just occasionally watch porn for fun or to supplement our sex lives, we aren't quite as exciting, and aren't discussed nearly as much.

What you are choosing to do is point at a car accident in the paper (or in front of your very own home) and say, "See, cars are evil," while you refuse to acknowledge all the people quietly driving around.

i think you're wrong about that. people typically aren't interested in hearing about the negative impact of porn.

but i do think you've uncovered a very significant point - if you subtract the morality of it, porn is not different from alcohol or any other addictive substance.

no i have not bought the biggest lie! i am realistic, just because you are in a relationship it does not mean the rest of the world stops! people still find other people attractive, people still have fantasies, and just because you watch a porn dvd does not mean you are cheating on your partner or want too cheat on them.

you sound like an insecure person to me, however someone who is confident about the way the look and their relationship would not feel threatened by porn.
            I agree completely.

so .....take me back to school I spent 20 years and I did not learn that to be educated to have to a be porn watcher.

well I in my life experience, it happen to be the opposite "I am talking about meeting people".

most of the porn stars and hookers .. strippers...etc., they don't come from rich families , these women started their lives poor and desperate for money, and sadly they turn down the wrong way.

and every one watch them should be ashamed of looking at some one's daughter who went the wrong direction.

                i'm really not surprised.

i gotta be honest, though. there aren't many guys who derrive any security or insecurity from watching porn. girls, sure - but guys? none. they might wish their peckers were a little bigger.

i've never heard of a girl complaining that her husband doesn't look & act like the guys in porn.

but typically a fat, hairy guy can enjoy porn & never feel insecure about his body.

but back to the issue: what you want is what you want - go for it. you can tolerate whatever you choose to tolerate. you're only worth as much as your own sense of value.

"If pornography made us healthy, we would be healthy by now. If the sex industry made us healthy, then those in the sex industry would be the healthiest and have the healthiest relationships."

Ok, your logic doesn't make any sense in that statement. sex existed before porn and will exist without porn, just like food existed before grocery stores and will continue to exist without grocery stores. I also don't see WHERE you got that from my statements. You are just making things up and putting them in my mouth, a sure sign of an arguement with no factual background and an arguer with no real, solid arguement.

I am done trying to enlighten you and housewife on your naive and...well...just DUMB....ways. You can believe porn is evil but I bet you both of your husbands have looked at/jerked it to porn. If you don't believe that then you really are beyond help in your own self delusions.

you hit the nail on the pixieduzt!

they really are kidding themselves if they think their man never looks at porn!

also plently of women watch and enjoy porn (and no it does not mean they are unhappy in their relationship) i have a great husband, a great sex life, we have been married for 8 years. porn has not caused any problems for us.

then again i do not get jealous of other women, i have a good figure, i am attractive, and i just don,t lie their like a sack of potatoes when we have sex (like the women in pornos do!).

i think it is YOU who has the problem with porn! you are insecure big time! i bet you are just jealous because you can not match up to the women in these movies.

lol. OK - i'm laughing at just how far off the nail you two actually were.

i don't have a husband who watches porn & i would never try to match up to the ladies in porn.

                      i am a husband - and i don't watch porn.

you've enlightened me. porn is healthy & women should hope that their husbands consume it regularly.

i just feel like i've been so stupid not to have seen it earlier.

When I ask men who are sex addicts if they would want their wife or daughter to be in porn, 100 percent say, 'No.’ They want it to be somebody else's wife or daughter. They know this material is damaging."

                      that doctor's obviously an idiot.

We see child molestation on demand through streaming to chat rooms. The children are getting younger and the images are getting more and more violent and graphic.

--Julie Myers, US Homeland Security Department.

she obviously isn't aware of how beneficial it is to a marriage for guys to fantasize about violent sex with young girls.

“(Teen porn users are) totally separating emotions from sexual activity and I think that is going to cause problems later in life. That is going to cause problems in marriage. It is going to cause problems trying to have an intimate relationship as well.”

                      -- Dr. Todd Clements, psychologist

oh, come on, silly psychologist! sex with no emotion isn't bad for a marriage. it actually helps people communicate better when they have sex without intimacy. what a *******...

Because negative effects of pornography were demonstrated so definitively in Zillmann and Bryant’s study, researchers have had a difficult time getting new studies past academic boards monitoring the use of human subjects. If a study’s effects are known to be detrimental – and there is no proof the damage can be permanently reversed – ethics boards will refuse to allow a similar study to go forward…thus subsequent researchers were unable to get new projects approved.

                      - Pamela Paul, in Pornified

jeez. where do these people come from. so a scientific, university board approved study documented that porn is harmful - so harmful, in fact, that they wouldn't allow them to conduct the study again for fear it would harm the participants. the board must not realize how much the exposure to porn could help the study participants' marriages.

                      “Pornography wrecks marriages.”

                      - divorce attorney Marcia Maddox

it does not! it saves them! what the hell would a divorce attorney know about what causes divorce, anyway...

Real sexual relationships are not hard to find. There are plenty of adults of both sexes who are willing to have sex if someone treats them well, and asks. But there lies the problem. Some people do not want an equal, sharing relationship. They do not want to be nice. They do not want to ask. They like the power involved in buying a human being who can be made to do almost anything.

-Joe Parker of the Lola Greene Baldwin Foundation, in Not For Sale

are you kidding!! the guys always ask in porn. and they ALWAYS treat the girls well. that's why porn is so good for marriages.

"You have to really prepare physically and mentally for it. I mean, I go through a process from the night before. I stop eating at 5p.m. I do, you know, like two enemas, and then the next morning I don't eat anything. It's so draining on your body."
-Belladonna, star of Two in the Seat #3

hmmmm. sounds like an enjoyable experience. my wife - and all other wives - must really like it too. this'll be GREAT for my marriage!!

People routinely assume that pornography is such a difficult and divisive issue because it's about sex. I think that's wrong. This culture struggles unsuccessfully with pornography because it is also about men's cruelty to women, and about the pleasure that men sometimes take in that cruelty. And that is much more difficult for everyone to face.
                      -Robert Jensen, "A Cruel Edge"

men's cruelty to women... exactly! that's why it's healthy for marriages!

i think i'm seeing the light, girls! i'm...enlightened!

                      porn is...it's GOOD!

how could i have been so stupid...

                      and just for good measure:

"Who needs the hassle of dating when I've got online porn?"

--Anonymous teenager quoted in New York Times Magazine, 5/30/04

you don't, silly teenager!! stick with the porn!

it'll be good for your marriage.
