    Penis size mixed message

I have this question for women. I hope it is appropriate.

Through this website there are many women who state that penis size is irrelevant. From what I know outside of website, I think most (but not all) women believe that size is irrelevant. As a male, I also think this – but it did take me sometime to truly believe this (20 years ago I thought being larger between the legs was better).

If most women think this, why do they actually know, and share information about their men’s penis size – right to the half inch? There are women where that have stated size does not matter, yet they can provide information on their man’s size. I’m simply curious why? Why not actual just say things like “he is a little larger” rather than he is 9.5 inches or 5.5 inches (although I think, as an aside, that 9.5 inches is more related to mismeasurment than real). And if I may ask, for those women who have measured their men, may I ask why you would measure it - -was it, for example, your men asking you? Where you curious yourself, and if so, why?

I'm just curious and in no way mean to criticism anyone's past posts.

lol's lol's sorry I did find that amusing and also a very, valid question as I have thought that myself?

Like, sure he's great in size, prob around 6 inches would be my response, wide enough too, but to know the size, I am sure they are gestimating and just "saying" although where the . comes from is beyond me...

The reason I know my fiances penis size is because he told me, which is probably a similar case for a lot of women. Men take pride in how large their penis is and love to share it with their lover. It gives them a self-esteem boost to hear them say "wow...you're big" or they say it out loud because they KNOW their penis is big. Because the topic is so popular, I also feel women measure for ****z and giggles. Hey, if you had a vagina, wouldnt you examine it too? I think it's more of a curiousity thing, at least it is for me. If I had a penis, I'd measure than baby in a heart beat! LOL. If it was big, of course I'll brag about it. Only because that's what society has made people think is what all women want.

Why would you automatically think the woman is the one that measured just because they throw out a number? Just because one might know the measurement doesn't mean you should automatically think she cares either.

I can tell you the size of my ex-boyfriend but that's because HE was so "proud" of himself that he measured it in front of me to prove it. My husband, I have no idea and I don't really care.
There is a method to my madness ........ I just haven't found it yet.

I do not see the point here...it is a unit of measurement, I am going to say that number because I know how to measure and I know that it is going to be a number, a value, a set of digits. It is the switch from it being a number to a number with meaning that causes the problem, before that switch to interpretation it is merely a number. But as for the question why as a woman I can say my bf is 7 or 7.5 inches is entirely because I know how to measure something, I know values and relative distances/sizes between things, and I am aware that if I measure something it is going to have a number value. My bf measured himself, I did not, but I am again able to do measurements because I am well aware how to distinguish lengths by visuals alone...I do not interpret 5 inches as 9 and so forth. Do I care about what that number represents? No. But I can still say it is a number because again that is all it is.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.

I have no personally measured my fiances penis, but from what he told me it makes sense. My exes I did take a ruler and measure it, but only because we were joking around. It was just something we did out of pure goofiness. Otherwise, I've never measured another penis besides that one.

There you go, a pattern, it's all about men, measuring themselves and telling the women their size.

Hang on I agree there is probable a pattern here or more men telling their wife/partner -- but lizzard has stated she has pulled out a rule before.

This is a hilarious thread, becasue to me it outlines that (1) the meaurement numbers in the past are so subjective -- a boyfriend telling his girlfriend -- that they can't be trusted, and (2) there are soem women who have actually taken a ruler out -- even in being goofy.

I am curious what otehr think, though. LOL
