*ahem* Because I have eyes, and because I know based on the size of a ruler (12 inches) that my hand is about 6 inches......it's definitely not hard for me to get an accurate perception of a mans size.

I had a bf once who fixated on it, made comments about it alot and even though I have ZERO doubt he had measured it numerous times, he asked me once to measure it. I don't even recall if I did or not (it's been years), but I know that I have never, not even once, CONSIDERED pulling out a measuring tape with any guy I have ever dated. I have had some guys state their size to the hundredth decimal place. Though we have discussed size on here before, I have NEVER, not even once, talked with girlfriends about "my bf is 7.25 inches". The only question like that I have ever been asked in the company of women was at a bachelorette party, "Who has been your best sex partner and why?". None of the responses had anything to do with size. I think that's pretty telling.

If one woman likes huge penises because she enjoys the pain inflicted by them, good for her. I don't mind. There are plenty other women who prefer a more average size because it doesn't cause the pain. It's very little different than a guy who see's a girl with a large chest versus one with a smaller chest.

I think you might need to take another look at the threads you refer to and see who posted what. I'll bet you that these "conflicting" answers you are stating that you've seen are not conflicting at all as it has not been the same member saying "yes it does" in one and "no it doesn't" in the other. They were made by different members.

I also don't believe that anywhere it's been said that ALL women do not see size as an issue but it has been stated that MOST women have no issue with it.

Oh my ........... I can give an exact measurement and state that I'm 5'8". That must mean that I think being slightly taller than the norm for a female is better.

I've never measured my husbands and he never told me a measurement, but one day I happened to be pleasing him.. and needed a drink of water and noticed the bottle was about the same size. It was so funny, I had to put them side by side! But it had nothing to do with wanting to know how big he was but now when I drink from a water bottle I think about his penis!

You have misunderstood my post. Im not stating that the four threads I used in my example conflict with each other. Im stating that those are four threads that are based on size, and how it matters (differently in each) that conflict strongly with every thread a guy posts asking about his size, and the hostility that follows a member suggesting size matters without an immediate problem that derives from it.

Sorry if I have misinterpreted your statement.

Still it remains that it's not conflicting. It's just differences of opinions in women. Yes, there have been women that post about size being an issue but that doesn't mean that ALL feel that way.

Interestingly enough I think that most of the threads here that refer to size as being (or possibly being) an issue have been created by a male member. Therefore if you base who you believe is more into the size issue on threads here it would be the guys.

              Little:

If I may ask, what do you mean by double digits? Are you referring to men giving the size and girth measurements or that the lengths is in double digits?

              Fallen & Socoken:

I think both of you raise interesting views – although at the end of it, I agree more with fallen, that although there can be some women who care about size (Lizzard likes measuring and beautiful disaster measures in a secret way with her hand length) most women do not care.

But with this said, I also think socoken does raise a good point. When you read some of the post at this website, such as “It hurts so good” there is a discussion between Raina and Purplegirl997, in which Raina states her new boyfriend is “large downstairs” and that it makes we “wild” and “wiggle” with purplegirl997 remarking that the same thing happens to her (with a larger guy) and she “loves it.” Likewise, in other posts there is a similar pattern and even some of the women who claim size is not a big deal still communicates how large their men are to the half inch.

At the end of the day, however, I think Fallen is correct – what most women are saying is that most women do not care and I think men l=need to learn the same thing and internalize it (along with breast size). But I also think – related to Kristalyn comment – that there can be a general curiosity and it has very little or nothing to do with feelings for the guy. That is why I commented in post 15 that if some guy claimed to have a 9-11 inch penis I would like to see it, because (1) I think these figures are completely made up, driven by pornography and the trickery of film, and (2) there would be simple curiosity.

              Kristalyn:

In regard to your comment that I could look up a 10 or 11 inch penis online, my view is that online can’t be trusted because there are so many ways to create fake images online or on TV – such as manipulating size via digital wizardry – I think that almost no men can be this size. And as has been outlined in this post, the women who have claimed that their boys friends were 9.5 inches are simply sharing what their boyfriend state and I would argue that most men make up size to sound like they are bigger than what they say. Although not homosexual (and by saying this I do not mean to put down homosexuals), I would want to see it to believe it.

Further, the reason I find this subject interesting is that I am sick and tired of the message in society that bigger-is-better (also related to breasts, that is why I have posted against breast implants). For men who are naturally larger it can contribute to sexually objectifying oneself and actually thinking one’s worth and credibility is associated to penis size and for men who are smaller they often report feelings of inadequacies. I am trying to debunk the notion that bigger is bigger and these mythical stories of men having 10 inch penises. Scientific study after study outline that 90% of men are a certain size and those that are larger or smaller do not deviate from the norm very much.

I am also trying to underscore how our language can outline mixed messages. I find a woman saying that penis size is not important, but can also outline that her boyfriend is larger to the tenth degree (9.5 inches) to be a mixed message – if size is not important, why do they communicate exact sizes ? So maybe some of the women here (and obviously men) need to stop staying exact sizes and only use vague language related to issue related to size.

The same can be said about anything and everything. Just because you know doesn't mean it's an issue with you - maybe to some, but definitely not all. Like I mentioned in one of my posts I know my exact height. Because I know it does it mean it's important and I feel anyone shorter is "less than"? No, I just know it.

WAIT WAIT WAIT....yes I have pulled a ruler out and measured my ex's penis, but I would have NEVER done so, if it wasn't for him bringing it up or suggesting it. Do you think i'd be like..."HEy Hunny, Come here, let me measure your penis with this ruler" ...no, lol

I think that it may come across as a mixed message because for women size does matter, but that doesn't necessarily mean they think bigger is better. There is an ideal size for all women and in the best case scenario the man they love will be around that size. I don't think it is ever a dealbreaker as long as it is in the ballpark and any guy of average size should be in the ballpark, therefore they see it as a non-issue. There are the rare occasions when a guy is either real large or small, in these cases there may be a problem. I also think that there is a disconnect with penis size and depth of penetration. I often hear it cited that the g-spot is only 2-3 inches in and accessible for all, but if one or both have afew extra pounds, even a 5"-6" penis may have trouble reaching that depth in a lot of positions.

This reasoning for "hurts so good" can be picked apart in a second by simply stating "it is hitting the cervix"...and practically any size can hit the cervix. Many women do not know that the cervix is being hit and completely attribute the 'pleasure pain' to his size and not something that is easily explainable by other women who have experienced the same pain sensation with average sized men.

In regard to your comment that I could look up a 10 or 11 inch penis online, my view is that online can’t be trusted because there are so many ways to create fake images online or on TV – such as manipulating size via digital wizardry – I think that almost no men can be this size.
Anatomy 101, human anatomical size can vary thanks to the due cell division process until a "stop" programming signal is given, that is how each and every single one of our body parts is made. It is possible to be 10 or 11 inches, it is not common but it is entirely possible. Just because you have not seen it does not mean it does not occur.

I find a woman saying that penis size is not important, but can also outline that her boyfriend is larger to the tenth degree (9.5 inches) to be a mixed message – if size is not important, why do they communicate exact sizes ?
I think you over-thinking this to a huge degree. Maybe it is just me but you seem to continually try to find a different opinion on everything to say "but but no this cannot be true because ____ said this ______ and now this means there are different messages which does not make sense". If a woman says a number, say because she was taught in school how to visually size things, then she is saying the number...because that number is representative of what that object is and she knows what that number is. If someone asks "how big is that?" and the correct answer to the size of whatever object is 9.5 inches you say 9.5 inches. If a woman answers a number she is saying a number simply because she knows it (again say because her SO said the number to her already) and not always deriving some complex meaning behind it. If she does not care about numbers but is fully capable of repeating a sentence her SO said then it should be left at that, she knows what that number is and that's that. Just like Fallen says, I also know my exact height...but because I know my exact height I do not place anymore value on it other than to be able to say I am 5'1".
