And looks do matter. Nobody falls in love before there is sexual attraction. When I was fat women wouldn't even look at me. As soon as I got buff, I can go to a mall and get checked out regularly by a lot of women. My first gf was fit and extremely attractive. With that came an extremely entitled attitude that "she was hot so she could have whatever she wanted". Second gf is chubby. She is very sweet and nothing like the first girl. I still want her to come to the gym with me partly because she would feel so much better (You think I'm insecure, you'd have yourself a case with this girl) because I know what it feels like to be where she is now. But also I want her to lose 30-40lbs so that she looks hotter to me. Am I wrong for wanting this?
I think this is a whole different topic that has less to do with penis size and more to do with you. That said, while there may be "dealbreakers" in someone's physique, intellect, and personality, ultimately, at least for me, it's the ensemble of a man's qualities that produces his overall effect on me as his partner.

You say that when you love someone, you are forgiving them for not having qualities that they don't have. I don't think that is necessarily negative, but perhaps a more realistic way of looking at it is that when you choose to be with a given person, you are choosing the good qualities that they have. But you are making negative choices as well by choosing to be with this person because he/she will lack qualities that are important to you, and if you don't think so, you are fooling yourself. And that negative choice is inevitable because you can't have everything you want in one person. For me, I know that certain qualities in a mate are essential, whereas others (including penis size) are way down the list.

I`ve mentioned this on other such threads. My husband is somewhere around 8 inches. We discovered this last year when we changed birth control methods and started using condoms. I don`t have the exact measurement, I`m basing it solely on condom size. Before the cynics among us say he`s trying to to impress me. We`ve been together for 20 years, dated for 10 and married just south of 10. At this point , why would he feel that necessary? I can`t say that I`m not curious, but not curious enough to actually make a true effort to have him measure it or do it myself. I fell in love with him for less superficial reasons and that`s what matters.

you don't want to hear about previous partners?
Well I think I'm just going to start experimenting with a lot of partners myself. As I slowly increase my length, I will simultaneously increase my experience with a lot of women as well.

Based on your reply, do your uncomfortable feelings about a woman having other experiences stem from your own lack of variety in experience?

              Well said.

It reminds me of when my wife asked me about the particularly large, round rear end of a lady walking by us. I told her that if it had been a guy walking by and the outline of his penis could be seen running down around his knee her eyes might linger and curiosity might be piqued, but that's not necessarily what you want in a mate.

Strictly from a physical perspective there is more to attraction than size, even if a certain degree of size is desirable. There's form, function, symmetry, proportionality. At some point bigger can be superfluous or even excessive. But more than that, for anyone with substance, the physical appeal becomes secondary after the initial attraction. What's average can become perfection and the flawless can feel dull depending on the chemistry. It's happened to me and so many others. "I though he was weird at first, but now I can't get enough." Or, "Her bottom was hypnotic, but she just doesn't do it for me anymore." I reckon there's no difference between the sexes on this.

When I was kid I used to fantasize about being the biggest guy whichever girl I was masturbating to at the time had ever been with. For the past couple of years, I've had the reverse fantasy, oddly enough. I now usually imagine being the smallest guy that particular girl has been with, but still being good enough to make her cum. I guess I realized that with a 5 inch penis, there was no way I'd be a girl's biggest unless she never had a partner before me.

a_dub, you are not looking in the right places. If you search [penis size country] you will be able to find a map of average penis length by country. You would be average length or even long in China, Korea, Japan and Southeast Asia. The sum of the populations of the countries averaging your length or shorter is probably greater than those averaging longer than you.

If I was Chinese, Korean, or Japanese, I'd have no issue. Not that I think it really matters...enough women seem to have the opinion that penis size isn't important, and I'm sure there are plenty of guys my size who are pleasing their women. I've had women attracted to me without seeing my penis, and I'm inclined to believe that they most likely wouldn't change their minds when they find out its only 5 and quarter inches long and 5 inches around.

That being said, would I have been embarassed to be 6 or 7 inches long? Definitely not. Do I want a bigger penis? Not particularly. And if being smaller means I can be deepthroated easier, or be able to have more sex without making a girl sore, then I think those perks outweight flashing a huge meat pole that not many people will know about to begin with.

In the end it doesn't matter. The penis primarily is what defines a man physically. We worry about it I guess because we feel lesser men if we have smaller.

The tongue on the other hand does not have that stigma attached to it.

No one on this planet will ever make me believe that a woman who has had a large one (again, defining large as 8"+) and was able to fit it inside her, and eventually ends up with another guy that only has 4" that she will not register this change at all. Someone on this thread said something about "baseball bat bill" and "little willie"
It's ironic she was on the "size doesn't matter" horse, but reading between the lines (calling it "little willie" because you know, it's so cute, it will tickle ) clearly it was easy to tell that she would be somewhat disappointed with the size and would wait to see what "little willie" could do (see if the man can make up for his deficiency with his "technique")
                      .
You assume way too much. I made the baseball bat little willie anology as just that, an analogy.

I'm also a guy, that like most any other guy "wishes" it were a tad bigger, even though I'm above the US male average. I've had women that told me I was smaller than a previous lover and others that told me I was the biggest they'd ever been with. Not that I asked any of them for that info.

From what I've read so far nothing will change your mind that you think you are too small to please a woman and that she'll always be longing for well, longer. You think of yourself as inadequate, as long as you think that you will be.

As far as penis size defining me, never. That's redicules.
